April 2021 Favorites

I can’t believe it’s about to be May. How did 1/4 of the year already fly by? I only have a few favorites this month. I think I was just so incredibly busy this month that I didn’t have time to really grow a list of favorites.

In no particular order, here are a few things I loved this month.

Fearless – Taylor’s Version. You guys know I’m a huge Swiftie. I love Taylor Swift so I had to download her new version of her old album, Fearless, on Spotify when it came out. I won’t get into all the details about why she is re-recording her old albums, but her version of Fearless is amazing and I love all the bonus songs on there.

Next, is my bean bag heating pad that my aunt made for me. This came in handy earlier in the month when I hurt my tailbone roller skating. It took about 2 weeks for me to not be sore anymore or wince when I sat or laid down. The heating pad was really helpful.

It also came in handy when my shoulder was aching last week after my 2nd dose of the Covid vaccine! That’s my next favorite – that I’m fully vaccinated!

And my last favorite is the A Court of Thorns and Roses series – well all the books that are out so far. I know I’ve mentioned them on here before and included them in my book gift guide back at Christmas, but I’m 2/3 the way through the latest book and I am obsessed with the series. I really enjoyed it before but it wasn’t until this past month that I really had a chance to get super into it so at the time I had just been reading a few chapters here and there and taking my time with the series. I was slowly reading because I had so much other stuff on my plate, which I still do, but what happened was I had a chance one day to really read a good chunk and then I was hooked. I haven’t devoured a book series this quickly in years. And these books are not small – the newest one A Court of Silver Flames is 751 pages. What also fed into my obsession is that I have a few friends who got really into it this month too so we were talking about it every day. Sarah J. Maas, the author, also recently announced that the series is being turned into a tv series on Hulu which is so exciting. Now when I finish this 5th book I’m going to be in withdrawals until either the new book comes out or the tv show begins.
