Winter Lantern Festival

Way before the holidays I saw ads for the NYC Winter Lantern Festival and it looked so cool. I’ve been to a lantern festival before in Toronto years ago and I thought this would be a great thing to go to during my winter break. There are a few days left so if you’re in the area this weekend and want to check it out you should get tickets!

There are 3 locations for the festival – Staten Island, Long Island, and Queens. I went to the Staten Island location as that’s what’s closest to me in NJ. I loved all the bright lights. Everything was so pretty and the light show that they had on the side of one of the buildings was really cool.

The one I went to in Toronto a long time ago had much larger light structures, but this was still cool to visit and walk through.

It was a chilly night so I wore the infamous coat from Amazon. Luckily, it didn’t rain until later after we left! All in all, it was a good time looking at all the lights!
