My most played song on Spotify in September was Shawn Mendes’ “When You’re Gone”. When I tell you I’m obsessed with this song and played it on repeat often, I’m not exaggerating.
My recommendation for this song has to go to one of my favorite second chance romance books – In the Weeds.
After a chance encounter and a wild weekend together months ago and crossing paths again during the holidays, Evelyn and Beckett find themselves in the same town again. Evelyn, looking for her happy, goes back to Inglewild and Lovelight Farms thinking the key to her happiness might be there…as well as Beckett. Meanwhile Beckett would love nothing more than a real chance with Evelyn, but is wary after she has left him seemingly without a thought twice now.
This is a fantastic book and I loved it so much more than I had anticipated and I had already anticipated that I’d really like it. It’s the second book in the Lovelight Farms series. It can be read as a standalone, but there are references from book 1. And since the series all takes place in that town, I think it makes sense to start from the beginning and go from there.
Anyway, I thought of this book for this song and think it fits really well!
