Book Spotlight: Send Her Back

I’m back with another book spotlight today. Send Her Back and Other Stories by Munashe Kaseke a collection of fictional short stories that all feature female Zimbabwean protagonists and show different aspects of the immigrant experience.

The stories range from a woman who enters a long term relationship with a guy who she doesn’t realize until much later has been exhibiting microagressions against her race for a long time to a young woman who goes back to Zimbabwe to visit her family after 5 years only to feel like she doesn’t quite fit in anymore, and more.

I only read a few of the stories, but I found the ones I did read to be really interesting!
