First Lines of 5 Books

I often see that trend going around on bookstagram where the person tries to convince you to read a book based just on the first line of the book. So I went through some of the books on my shelves and picked out 5 books!

• Things We Never Got Over – “I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked into Cafe Rev, but it sure as hell wasn’t a picture of myself behind the register under the cheery headline ‘Do Not Serve.'”
  
• The Spanish Love Deception – “I’ll be your date to the wedding.”
  
• One True Loves – “I am finishing up dinner with my family and my fiancé when my husband calls.”
  
• The Dead Romantics – “Every good story has a few secrets.”
  
• Ugly Love – “Someone stabbed you in the neck, young lady.”
