When in Rome – Quote
I read and really enjoyed Sarah Adam’s When in Rome last week and there was one quote in it that really stuck out to me. That along with the fact that I made my favorite pie – coconut cream pie – over the weekend gave me the idea to make a post just for it.

“‘Sometimes a woman is just worn out and needs a break, you know?’ The lines on her forehead deepen. ‘That doesn’t prove that you’re weak or neglectful, it proves to all the women standing by and watching you pave the road to success that it’s okay to say no. It’s okay to shut your door every now and then and put up a sign that says Busy taking care of me today. Piss off.'”
And that quote really resonated with me because I feel like I’ve really been going through the wringer lately with lots of ups and downs and I really need to just take a breather and take care of myself!
I hope you have a great Monday and start to your week. Don’t forget to take care of yourself!
