December 2024 Book Favs

Happy New Year! I had a low key New Year’s Eve, which was nice after such a busy and chaotic month. I read a lot of books this month. Since many of my Christmas reads were novellas it upped my numbers of completed books but then things were hectic with the holidays, traveling, and new home stuff so my reading dramatically slowed down during the last week of the month so I actually didn’t read as much as planned. I still picked out 9 favorite reads of the bunch though!

• A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston
• How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn
• The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling
• My December Darling by Lauren Asher
• Hopeless by Elsie Silver

It was tough to choose which one of these was my top favorite of the month, but after some thinking I decided to go with A Novel Love Story. Ashley Poston’s books just have a way of capturing my heart!

And according to my book bracket, my top read for all of 2024 was You, With a View by Jessica Joyce, which doesn’t come as a surprise because it’s a book I’ve often thought about all year. It was a surprise hit for me in the sense that I thought I’d like it when I heard about it and then when I read it I didn’t realize how much I would love it.

I can’t wait to see what books make it to my favorites lists in 2025! I’m planning to incorporate a reading journal as well, but I had to buy 2 from Etsy because I will probably be reading over 100 books again and the journal I liked only had 50 something entries. If I go way beyond 100 I guess I’ll just have to make my own makeshift inserts haha.
