May 2025 Favorite Books

I feel like almost every month this year I’ve been saying it was a slow reading month for me and it’s the same again for May. Maybe 2025 is just the year where I slow down and that’s okay. And to clarify – I still read a good number of books and probably more than the average person – but I used to fill out more than one template for my monthly reads and this year I don’t even remember if I’ve filled out more than one per month at all.

Anyway, I read 9 books in May and of the 9 I picked out 6 that I just really loved more than the others. That’s over half of the books, so I guess I didn’t really narrow it down all that much, but whatever it’s my list!

My favorites were:

• The Things We Water
• Under Loch & Key
• Redeemed
• The Front Runner
• The Twisted Throne
• Heavenly Bodies

And my favorite of these?

Heavenly Bodies! It just had a little bit of everything – a good storyline, characters I loved, good banter, some spice.
