The Wrath of the Fallen – Comic Relief

I love when there are funny characters in otherwise serious books or books that aren’t comedies i.e. books that are primarily deep or emotional or fantasy books that are emotional and action packed. It’s always nice to have some comic relief. Like in the Fourth Wing series, Ridoc is one of my favorite characters because he’s funny and brings some lightheartedness to the books!

In The Wrath of the Fallen, the fourth book in the Gods & Monsters series by Amber V. Nicole, there are a few funny moments when they’re not fighting for their lives and trying to save the world from a psychotic woman. One of the comic relief moments is between Cameron and Dianna after Cameron walks in her and Samkiel kissing.

“The world around us is on fire, and you two are shoving your tongues down each other’s throats. I’m honestly the least bit shocked.”

“It’s his fault! He keeps saying pretty words and distracting me.”

“Take some responsibility here, Dianna. My gods.”

I just love these characters!
