A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping – Clemmie Appreciation
I always love when a side character is really entertaining and sort of steals the show a bit. In A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping, Clemmie is a witch who has been cursed to live in a fox’s body. She is sassy and funny and I found her really entertaining in the novel. Since the novel does deal with some deeper, sadder themes, I found her sass to be the perfect comic relief as well.

One of her funny quotes that I tabbed in the book was when she was criticizing Sera for not getting a spell right.
“Marvellous work,’ Clemmie said to Sera. ‘I was just thinking this morning that what we really needed in our lives was not a new fireplace or a nice car but, in fact, a resurrected fucking rooster.'”
We need more Clemmie energy!
