A Day in the Life: April 8, 2026

I love watching mini-vlogs on Instagram. Maybe they remind me of how much I used to watch YouTube vlogs back in the day, but in a condensed 90 seconds. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to do one a few days ago because it was going to be a busy day for me during my spring break (cue the sobs that I go back to work tomorrow). This was especially fun for me, because if you’ve been following my Instagram for a while you may know I do love a good time-stamped reel.

Here are some photos to highlight the day!

I started the day with breakfast and reading a chapter of King of Ravens on my Kindle. I had peanut butter on my low carb toast and some pineapple.

I finished my coffee while reading a little bit of Mistakes Were Made.

After showering, doing my makeup, drying my hair, and getting dressed, I was ready to head out.

I headed out to my parents’ house and we went to the American Dream Mall because I wanted to walk around there since it’d been over a year since I’d gone and they’d never been there. I went to a few stores including Lush (I used some of one of the bath bombs I bought there in my self-care post the other day).

We got lunch at Yard House in the mall and I got a salad and boneless buffalo wings.

Then we headed home. When I got back to my place, I worked on my latest puzzle for a bit – a Literary Locations puzzle. Then, read some more of Mistakes Were Made.

At 5:45, I headed to trivia with some friends. We love having dinner and doing trivia. We end up in the top 3 a lot of times, but a few questions that we either didn’t know or messed up on in the later rounds had us slip out of placing this time around.

I got home a little after 9 and started the laundry! While my laundry was going I got cozy on the couch to work on my blog and do some more reading before bed.

That was my past Wednesday! I enjoyed documenting it and I think I’ll do it every once in a while when I know I’ve got interesting things going on or else it would be pretty boring ha.
