Afternoon Tea & Bookstore Visit

I’m back at work now, but I tried to make the most of my spring break last week which included going on a little outing to a new-ish romance bookstore about 30 minutes from me and some afternoon tea with delicious scones and tea sandwiches! Also, an impromptu plant shopping trip which saw me take 2 new plants home.

It was warm enough on this day that I could wear a dress without tights! I wore this dress and slip on gold sneakers for my outing. My friend and I drove about 30 minutes to Flemington to check out Charmed & Bound. The bookstore was so cute! I did pick up a few things so keep reading to see what I got.

Then, we walked a few minutes down the street to go to Teaberry’s Tea Room. It’s been a few years since I’ve been to tea at Teaberry’s and they have a new location! Same town and still a Victorian home though! The tea, scones, and tea sandwiches were so good! It was just enough food so I’m glad I didn’t get the option that included the dessert service! I always love scones with preserves and clotted cream. Delicious. And my favorite of the tea sandwiches was the one with multigrain bread, hummus, sprouts, radish, carrot, and aged fig balsamic drizzle. So good! I want to recreate it.

After some plant shopping, I got home and managed to take a photo of my haul before I lose all the natural light! I got 2 candles – “Andarna” and “Night Court” which both smile so good, a little pencil cause with an adorable heart charm in sparkly gold and mint green that included post its, highlighters, book tabs, a pen, and a really fun bookmark that sits on the edges and says “fell asleep here”. For my plants, I got a golden pothos and zz plant!
