Book Review: Fearless Like Us

This past week I read the 9th book in the Like Us series by Krista & Becca Ritchie – Fearless Like Us – which continues the story of Sullivan, Banks, and Akara.

The book picks up shortly after the end of Wild Like Us. Sulli, Banks, and Akara have decided to be in a polyamorous relationship together and now need to break the news to their family and friends and hope they will have their support. As the three navigate their unconventional relationship, they are in a constant state of anxiety and alertness because someone has been leaking private information about everyone living in the penthouse to a website called “Royal Leaks”. The information is something only one of them would know such as the non-vegan snack Sulli ate one day or about Luna writing paranormal erotica. Can they find out who is behind the leaks before their new relationship gets revealed to the public?

I thought this book was okay and it’s probably my least favorite of the Like Us series so far. The storyline was okay, but a little boring to me. It didn’t really capture my attention and the book felt unnecessarily long. I also don’t care for Sulli that much which is a shame because I love Ryke an Daisy. I just find Sulli to be really annoying and I felt like she got worse as the book went on. Usually, you like a character more as the book goes on, but I just disliked her more and more.

With that being said, I still thought the book was okay most likely because I love the Hale/Cobalt/Meadows universe and just wanted to stay immersed in that world for a while longer.

The next book is the last one for this throuple, which I hope I like more than this one. I can’t wait for Luna and Donnelly’s story in the last 3 books though!
