May 2026 Favorite Reads

I can’t believe it’s June already! Where has the time gone? I had a pretty good reading month in May and have rounded up my favorites.

Of the 11 books I read in May, my favorites were:

• The Last Second Chance by Lucy Score
• What Happens After Midnight by K.L. Walther
• Rites of the Starling by Devney Perry
• Pitcher Perfect by Tessa Bailey
• Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
• It’s In His Kiss by Julia Quinn (review to come!)

And of these 6 favorites, my top favorite for the month was….

Rites of the Starling! This follow up to Shield of Sparrows was so good. Once I came to terms that the main focus of this book wasn’t going to be the romance between Odessa and Ransom, I came to really appreciate and love the bigger story being told.
