Disneyland Day 2
On Sunday, my cousins and I were on day 2 of 3 of our Disneyland park days and we started this day out at Disneyland. If you missed it, day 1 was at Disney California Adventure. On this day we again woke up early to get ready and walk over to the parks in time to rope drop. We lined up at the gates so we could go in as soon they let people in at 7:30 and then waited at the next check point for them to let us line up at rides. We had planned to rope drop Rise of the Resistance this day because, like Radiator Springs Racers the day before, this ride isn’t available on Lightning Lane Multi-pass. But, as we were waiting there some cast members informed us all that Rise of the Resistance would be delayed in opening so we should plan to head to another ride when they dropped the ropes. We decided to go over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad since that’s another favorite of ours.
We rode lots of rides this day like Big Thunder, Indiana Jones (a new love for us all), Rise of the Resistance, and more. Plus classic rides like Space Mountain, Matterhorn, and It’s a Small World and others. It was also my first time at Galaxy’s Edge because I haven’t been back to Hollywood Studios in Orlando since they built out the whole Star Wars area. It was a really cool area. I’m planning to do another post later on with a lot more Star Wars photos and details. Besides riding the rides over there we also got into Oga’s Cantina and order delicious drinks and a garlic pretzel bread with spicy cheese sauce. Other foods we ate that day included churros, Mickey beignets, and a lunch reservation at Blue Bayou which is a restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride! We also got some sweet treats in the Bluey area which is just there for the summer. We caught some of the Paint the Night parade inadvertently, checked off another food item off our “want to try” list – the beef birria grilled cheese at Jolly Holiday Cafe, which was maybe the best thing I ate on the trip!, and caught the fireworks. It was a great day!
