Book Review: Nobody Like Us

It’s taken me a while, but I finished the Like Us series – a 13 book spin-off/second generation series following one of my favorite series, the Addicted/Calloway Sisters series. The last book in this series is Nobody Like Us and the 3rd book that focuses on Luna Hale and Paul Donnelly.

Nobody Like Us picks up shortly after Unlucky Like Us. Luna is still trying to recover her memories from the past 3 years after she was ambushed and abducted by some of Donnelly’s family. She finds a diary that she had hidden and with the help of Donnelly, her family, and surprisingly her cousin Charlie, she starts to piece together and remember some of her missing memories. Meanwhile, Donnelly is working with Lo, security, and the police to keep his family behind the attack on Lily and Luna behind bars.

Luna may not fully remember the start of her relationship with Donnelly, but she knows she loves him. The two work together through her memory loss and Donnelly’s family situation and through it all their love for each other grows deeper and deeper.

I love Luna and Donnelly and their story. I loved how they worked through her memory issues and Donnelly never made Luna feel like she was different with her missing memories even though she kept referring to pre-memory loss Luna as the OG Luna. He loved her no matter what and it was so heartwarming that even with her memory loss she knew she loved him. The situation with Donnelly’s dad was bittersweet and I wonder if we will see any mention of him again in the Cobalt Empire series. I haven’t started the Cobalt books yet because I wanted to finish this series first, but I’m excited!
