• Prosciutto Wrapped Figs

    Prosciutto Wrapped Figs

Figs are one of my favorite fruits. Well, I love most fruits, but figs are up there. I think I even had them on my monthly favorites one month last summer. I also love prosciutto, the Italian cured ham. It’s a well-known fact that salty and sweet go together so well. A popular appetizer are prosciutto wrapped melons, but an appetizer or snack that you may not hear about as often is prosciutto wrapped figs. This isn’t really a recipe post, because there’s nothing to it. I washed and cut up some figs, wrapped some strips of prosciutto around the figs and that was it! The salty prosciutto pairs harmoniously with the sweetness…

  • Pepperoni Bread

    Pepperoni Bread

Today I’ve got an easy food post and video for you. Pepperoni bread! I hadn’t made this in years and then saw a picture on Pinterest or somewhere and it made me want to make it. So if you want to see how simple it is click the video below and keep reading for more details! First, you’ll need pizza dough. You can use store-bought pizza dough like I did here. I have also bought dough from local pizzerias in the past. You will also need mozzarella, pepperoni, and italian seasoning. I also made one loaf with leftover marinara sauce I had, but I actually prefer it without the sauce…

  • Deviled Eggs

    Deviled Eggs

So a food/appetizer that I love and don’t get to eat often is Deviled Eggs. I don’t know what it is about deviled eggs, but I just love them. Maybe it’s the hint of spice from the paprika or the sweetness of the relish or the creaminess of the egg yolk filling. One time a few years ago I was out with one of my good friends at a bar and restaurant. I saw deviled eggs on the menu and whilst this place is more known for it’s beer towers, soft pretzels, and ribs, my eyes zoomed in on the deviled eggs and I instantaneously had a hankering for them. My…

    Spinach & Feta Puff

I love spinach. I love feta cheese. I love the Greek dish spanakopita, which is what this Spinach & Feta Puff reminds me of. This recipe is super easy and I mostly followed a recipe from Epicurious. The only thing I changed was that I didn’t add dill to mine. I cut puff pastry dough into squares. I mixed together spinach, feta cheese, onion, olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. I filled the puff pastry dough with the spinach & feta mixture and folded the corners in. Tip: I only made 6 puffs. Whenever you have empty cupcake/muffin spaces you should fill it with water to ensure even baking and avoid burning. I…

I love getting antipasto dishes at italian restaurants as well as putting together something at home. The nice thing about doing it at home is that you can put together any foods you like. For this antipasto I put together, I used mozzarella, prosciutto, roasted red peppers, olive oil, salt and pepper. So easy!
