    Photo Challenge: Rise/Set

I love a good sunrise or sunset photo and can’t resist taking photos of the gorgeous sky during them. When I saw that last week’s photo challenge was “Rise/Set” I looked through my photos to see what sunrise or sunset photo I wanted to use and hadn’t already shared before – at least not for a photo challenge. Last summer I went to Cape Cod for vacation and on the last night I went to dinner at Mattakeese Wharf and was lucky enough to get a table by the window so I could see the view and the beautiful sunset. Luckily it was good weather! I took a whole series of…

    Photo Challenge: Bridge

Last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Bridge” and as luck would have it I headed home from my week long vacation in Cape Cod and passed over multiple bridges on the drive home back to New Jersey. We drove over at least 3 that I can remember- I’m sure there were more but I fell asleep for portions of the road trip. Besides driving over bridges, I also saw bridges in the distance. Knowing that “Bridge” was the photo challenge I tried to take as many pictures as I could, which I’m sure many of you know can be difficult in a car. There are multiple issues.…

    Cape Cod Recap

As promised I have my first video up on YouTube of my Cape Cod vacation! This video has highlights from all my days on Cape Cod including Hyannis, whale watching in Provincetown, the Cape Cod Lavender Farm & 4th of July, the beach, and more. I had such a good time just relaxing and taking in the beautiful sights on the Cape! Still to come – my videos from Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard!

    Travel Eats: Cape Cod

So if you know me, you know I love to eat. If you’ve been a long time follower on here you could probably have already guessed. One thing I always look forward to when I go away on vacation is trying new restaurants and eating (hopefully) good food. Today I’m sharing with you the food I ate (minus breakfast because that was the same continental buffet every day) while on my trip to Cape Cod this past week! Day 1 After a long day of driving, we got to Cape Cod in time for dinner. Cape Cod (Hyannis) is about 300 miles away from me, so not too terrible but…

    Last Day on Cape Cod

We’ve reached the last recap post of my vacation to Cape Cod! But fret not, it’s not my last post altogether about my trip because I have a food post coming up later today and I’ll be making a few short videos with highlights of my trip. But for today, I’m talking about my last full day on Cape Cod. My last day there was really laid back and relaxing. After eating our hotel breakfast, my family and I drove about 15 minutes to the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory! The factory has self-guided tours. “Tour” is a bit generous, you pretty much just walk through and can look through…

4th of July in Cape Cod

After spending Tuesday in Nantucket, my family and I stayed on Cape Cod for the 4th of July. We planned to drive around to some of the other towns, but knew it would be crazy due to the holiday and the little bits we did drive around proved this point so we stayed relatively local. One place I did really want to go to, and luckily we didn’t have any troubles getting there, was the Cape Cod Lavender Farm. Seeing as how I have no immediate plans to head over to Europe to wander the lavender fields I always see and lust over on Instagram, this farm will have to…

Cape Cod – Hyannis & Provincetown

Happy 4th of July to all my readers in the States! I hope you’re all having a fun time with family and friends today. If you read my recent “What’s in My Makeup Bag?” post and/or follow me on Instagram then you know I’m spending the holiday in Cape Cod. It’s my first time at The Cape even though it is only 5-6 hours away from me. I didn’t know this, but Cape Cod is actually really big and is made up of lots of towns and coastal areas. I’m staying in Hyannis Port, home to the Kennedy Compound, and conveniently less than a mile away from the ferries to go…
