Emmys 2019 – Red Carpet Picks

Did you catch the Emmys last night? There were some really funny moments! I noticed multiple women wearing gowns that had pink/red combos so designers must all be on the same color combo trend. I, for sure, saw Mandy Moor, Susan Kelechi Watshon, and Marisa Tomei wearing the color combo and I read online that Tariji P. Henson also had it on. The color combo is really pretty, but I didn’t see a gown in particular with the color combo that made me want to put it on my list of favs. Some of my favorite looks are below! First up, Emilia Clarke. She looks gorgeous in this plunging neckline gown…

Brie Larson – Captain Marvel Premiere Fashion

Captain Marvel came out in theaters the other day. Have you already seen it? I haven’t, but I plan to. I’m just avoiding the crazy crowds! Since I haven’t seen it, I’m not writing about the movie today. But I am writing about the stunning looks star Brie Larson has been wearing to the movie premieres! I’m highlighting the premieres in Los Angeles, New York City, and London. I’m not sure if there have been any other ones so far, but these were the 3 looks I’ve seen so far. Los Angeles Brie wore this gorgeous champagne colored Rodarte gown featuring silver stars – fitting for the woman playing Captain…

    Oscars 2019 Fashion

Did you catch the Oscars last night? I was legit laughing out loud at Melissa McCarthy coming out for the costume award, dressed like a queen from the 18th century with stuffed animals attached all over! So as I did my homework on the red carpet fashion last night I have to say I wasn’t wow’ed by anyone’s outfits. There were some looks I really liked, but none that I’m super excited to share on here today. Nevertheless, I did pick out 9 of my favorites of the bunch! First up, I love Irina Shayk’s black gown with gold fringe tassels at the waist and wrists. This gown is also backless…

    Emmy 2018 Red Carpet

Did you catch the Emmy’s last night? I watched most of it – I had it on in the background as I got some work done. Did you see the proposal during one of the award acceptances? So sweet! I’ve rounded up a few of the looks I loved from last night. There are probably a few great looks that I didn’t see. I saw Gina Rodriguez present and I loved her blue gown but I could’t find a photo of her online last night! So here are the photos of outfits I did see on TV or online and loved (in no particular order) There wasn’t anything particularly special…

    Met Gala 2018

This is coming a day late, but I didn’t have a chance to go through all the Met Gala looks until yesterday. The theme this year was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & the Catholic Imagination” so think over the top, ornate, rich fabric looks. For some reason renaissance looks come to mind for me. I’ve rounded up some looks I personally loved below. First up, Blake Lively looked amazing as usual in Atelier Versace. I loved every inch of this dress. I read somewhere that she needed to ride in a bus because her gown wouldn’t fit in a regular car. Not sure if that was a joke or not, but I…

    Oscars 2018 Fashion

Did you watch the Oscars last night? This is the first Oscars in my recent memory that there were so many looks that I just wanted to say “what in the world are they wearing?”. Really, so many bizarre and/or ill fitting looks. But there were still some looks that I really loved so let’s get started! Sandra Bullock was one of my favorite looks of the night. I don’t always love her style, but this Louis Vuitton dress I love. The neckline looks great on her and I love how the gold covers the top half of the dress and then slowly becomes more scattered and shows more black…

    Grammy’s Red Carpet 2018

Did you watch the Grammy’s last night? I didn’t. I just didn’t feel any desire to – I’m much more in to tv and movie award shows rather than music ones. But I did make sure to check out the red carpet to see what people were wearing! To be honest, I was a bit underwhelmed by the looks I saw on the red carpet, but I did manage to find 5 looks that I did really like. Lisa Loeb looked beautiful in this shimmering ball gown! She seriously never ages. Lady Gaga looked stunning in this Armani Privé number. I don’t know if this is a dress or a…

    Emmy Red Carpet 2017

Did you watch last night’s Emmy Awards? I thought Stephen Colbert was really funny and did a great job! With the awards show I’m back with the looks I loved from the red carpet. As always, these are just my favorites looks based on what I saw so there may have been other amazing looks that I didn’t come across. I picked 12 looks that I really loved so let’s get started in no particular order. Kiernan Shipka looked gorgeous in this ethereal gown with rhinestone detailing. It was the perfect style for her figure and age appropriate for her. I loved Julianne Hough’s Marchesa gown with the asymmetrical straps and cutout…

    Met Gala 2017

The Met Gala red carpet is always fun to watch because the fashion is so different than award show red carpets. The Met Gala is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. Since it is for the Costume Institute, there is always a theme every year for both the gala itself and the Costume Exhibit at the museum and the red carpet tends to be more artistic to fit the theme. This year’s theme was Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons. Now, while the looks tend to be a bit more avant garde my personal style is more classic, so anything too out there is not really my thing. With that…

    Style Inspiration: Emma Watson

We’ve watched Emma Watson grow up before our eyes. From a pre-teen on the big screen as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films to Belle in the soon-to-be released Beauty and the Beast live-action movie. Aside from her film accomplishments she’s become quite the style icon and someone for women everywhere to look up to for her intelligence, grace, and voice in the fight for equal rights. I’m such an Emma Watson fan so I’m really excited to see her in the new Beauty & the Beast film since it was my favorite Disney movie growing up. I already have plans to see it this Friday! A post on my thoughts on…
