Oscars 2019 Fashion

Did you catch the Oscars last night? I was legit laughing out loud at Melissa McCarthy coming out for the costume award, dressed like a queen from the 18th century with stuffed animals attached all over!

So as I did my homework on the red carpet fashion last night I have to say I wasn’t wow’ed by anyone’s outfits. There were some looks I really liked, but none that I’m super excited to share on here today. Nevertheless, I did pick out 9 of my favorites of the bunch!

First up, I love Irina Shayk’s black gown with gold fringe tassels at the waist and wrists. This gown is also backless so I had to include a photo of the back! She looked stunning!

Next up, Jennifer Lopez in this silver mirrored Tom Ford gown. It doesn’t look like anything really special in this photo, but on stage with the lights shining it looked gorgeous and really sparkled!

I love this bright cobalt blue that Tina Fey wore. The gown looks great on her. I love the pleated skirt and the band at the waist helps accentuate her waist.

I loved the cut of Emilia Clarke’s Balmain gown. The color is also so pretty with its iridescent-like sparkle.

I love how confident Melissa McCarthy looks in this cape/pant combo. She looks so good and really owns this look!

I don’t really know why Kacey Musgrave was at the Oscars, but I loved her tulle tiered ruffle gown! So feminine and definitely a really beauty of a dress! The pale pink of this Giambattista Valli Couture gown is so pretty and the embellished bow at the waist is the perfect accent.

Does Michelle Yeoh age? This Elie Saab gown has such a classic silhouette, but adds a modern flair with the metallic accents. She looks beautiful and the dress is a perfect fit.

Emma Stone’s Louis Vuitton gown doesn’t look amazing in this photo, but when I saw it live on tv, I loved it. This amber colored gown with gold embellishments all over looked so pretty.

Lastly, I loved the gold detailing in Tessa Thompson’s gown. She was a last minute addition to my list because when I first saw the dress on my computer, I thought it was nice but didn’t stand out to me. But, when I saw her on stage then I really loved it and appreciated the detailing.

Of the dresses I saw, these were my favorites! I could’ve tried to find a 10th look to round out my list, but I didn’t want to force it and include a look that I wasn’t really crazy about.

Were there any looks you really loved from last night?
