Oscars 2019 Fashion
Did you catch the Oscars last night? I was legit laughing out loud at Melissa McCarthy coming out for the costume award, dressed like a queen from the 18th century with stuffed animals attached all over! So as I did my homework on the red carpet fashion last night I have to say I wasn’t wow’ed by anyone’s outfits. There were some looks I really liked, but none that I’m super excited to share on here today. Nevertheless, I did pick out 9 of my favorites of the bunch! First up, I love Irina Shayk’s black gown with gold fringe tassels at the waist and wrists. This gown is also backless…

Oscars 2018 Fashion
Did you watch the Oscars last night? This is the first Oscars in my recent memory that there were so many looks that I just wanted to say “what in the world are they wearing?”. Really, so many bizarre and/or ill fitting looks. But there were still some looks that I really loved so let’s get started! Sandra Bullock was one of my favorite looks of the night. I don’t always love her style, but this Louis Vuitton dress I love. The neckline looks great on her and I love how the gold covers the top half of the dress and then slowly becomes more scattered and shows more black…

Oscars 2017 Fashion Picks
Did you watch the Oscars last night? I loved Justin Timberlake kicking the night off with “Can’t Stop the Feeling” – so fun! Jimmy Kimmel was funny as host and I loved all the humorous and inspirational moments regarding our country’s current state of affairs from all the presenters and award winners. They kept it light while also making an impact. Other thoughts – the show was so long! I don’t remember the last time the show ended past midnight on the east coast. The bit with the tourists was cool but seriously that took up so much time! Also how crazy was the end of the show with the…

Oscars 2016: Fashion Picks
Happy Leap Day! Before I get into my fashion oriented post for today, I have something to say about leap day. Just hear me out. We only get February 29th every four years, so since we don’t normally have this day shouldn’t we all get the day off work? And I mean think about those people born on leap years! They only get to celebrate their real birthday every four years so we should definitely get off of work to all celebrate, right? Well, I think so at least! Of course, when this post goes live I’ll already be at work…. Anyway, last night was Hollywood’s most glamorous night – the 88th Academy Awards.…

The Revenant
Tonight is the biggest night in film – The Oscars! “The Revenant” is up for Best Picture and is one of the three Best Picture nominees that I’ve seen. I also saw “The Martian” and “Bridge of Spies”, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. I saw “The Revenant” last month, but didn’t have a chance to write a review on it so I thought today was as good a day as any to share my thoughts on the film! First off, the acting in this movie is absolutely incredible. This movie is intense and I can’t imagine filming in the conditions these actors were in. For those of you who don’t know…

Oscars 2015 Fashion Picks
Last night was the 87th Academy Awards and as always the ladies put their best fashion foot forward. Here are my picks for best dressed! Chloe Grace Moretz looks divine in this strapless, floral Miu Miu gown. It’s definitely a fresh look and incredibly age appropriate for her. She is young and I don’t like when young girls are dressed too “old” for these kinds of events. I think the color scheme and the champagne trim on her gown looks perfect for her coloring. Plus, her gown has pockets – that just makes it even better! How amazing does Zoe Saldana look after giving birth to twins 3 months ago?! I love her…

Dress Your Favorite Oscar Nominee
Dress Your Favorite Oscar Nominee by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring vintage jewelry Tonight’s the Oscars! There hasn’t been as much buzz this year as in some previous years and I’ve heard that less viewers are expected this year. A theory is that many of the films that are nominated this year are smaller and/or more independent films that a lot of people haven’t seen so the interest isn’t as high. Regardless, that doesn’t effect red carpet fashion! As with the other major awards shows, I will share my fashion picks tomorrow morning, but first let me share how I would dress Emma Stone – one of my favorite actresses of all those…
