Restyled: Chambray Button Down + Confetti Top
I love when I’m going through my drawers or closet and I have a lightbulb moment of seeing pieces that would look great together that I hadn’t considered before. That’s how most of my restylings happen. So when I was going through my drawers recently I saw a tank top with a multicolor confetti style print and my chambray button down. I thought to myself – those would look great together! So I wore the two together with wine colored high-waisted jeggings to dinner last week. Chambray Top: American Eagle | Tank Top: Kohl’s | Pants: American Eagle | Shoes: Red Dress Boutique I really liked how the multicolor print…

Wide Leg Chambray Jumpsuit + Sprinkle Clutch
Months and months ago I got a few pieces from a limited edition makeup collaboration between the Museum of Ice Cream and Sephora. I wrote about it (here). I remember thinking “Why would they release such a fun, summery collaboration in the fall?” because it was so clearly more of a summer collaboration. In any case I did buy the brush set and the cheek set. The brush set I purely got because of the sprinkle clutch! Um, a plastic box clutch filled with sprinkles? It’s a no brainer! I mean, come on, look how fun and adorable it is! I took a photo and sent it to Lauren, my…

Front Pocket Chambray Romper
Chambray is not going anywhere anytime soon and I love it. What drew me to this chambray romper is the cut. I love the crossover detailing on the top and the front pockets. I tied the attached belt to the front but I think you can do front or back. I think the style is so figure flattering and looks good on a lot of different body types. The only negative to this romper is that the back zipper keeps getting stuck. Like, not caught on fabric or anything – it just gets stuck and I have to really work at it to zip. So I may have to replace…

Chambray + Tulle
Happy Saturday! I’ve been so tired lately so sleeping in a bit this weekend is like a dream. Today I’m sharing the second look (second of three) from my fall photoshoot with Lauren . I have to say, I absolutely love this outfit. I had this idea in my head for months to wear a chambray shirt with a tulle skirt. The chambray shirt is one I’ve had for a few years and the tulle skirt is one I got last winter. I didn’t know if it would turn out as good as I imagined it in my head. I was thrilled that it did turn out well and in fact,…

Pearl Embellished Chambray Dress
I love chambray because it is so soft and buttery to the touch. It’s got the look of denim but is so much softer and more comfortable. I saw some people getting in to the whole denim dress trend in the spring, which I thought was cute but I didn’t know how comfortable it would be. But when I saw this chambray dress with pearl embellishments I knew it would be comfy! The pearl embellishments are spread out and pretty simple – they just add a touch of elegance to this summer dress. But perhaps the real star of this piece is the ruffled back! Chambray & Plaid
How’s everyone’s week going? I’ve still got a cold and it sucks, so hopefully you’ve all been doing better than me this week! I’m so over this cold and my poor nose is too. I’m at the point where it hurts cause I’ve been blowing my nose so much. Other than that I feel fine though, so I’m lucky there! The look I’m sharing with you all today features two well-loved fashion trends: chambray and plaid. I paired jeans with a chambray boyfriend shirt and a plaid blanket scarf. Top: American Eagle Jeans: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohls Scarf: Steve Madden via Nordstrom Rack Clutch: Lauren Ericka Designs via Aster Market…

“Beautiful” Chambray
I love chambray and while I guess you could say that this chambray top is beautiful, I put it in quotation marks because my tank top underneath reads “beautiful”. I love the versatility of casual button-downs because you can wear them all buttoned up or in a cardigan fashion and have a top on underneath. Chambray Top: American Eagle Tank Top: Love on a Hanger via Nordstrom Rack Jeans: Express Shoes: SO via Kohls Purse: Coach I am a lover of the denim on denim look like so many of us are, but I chose to break it up with this tank top so it wasn’t too much denim. I’ve shown this chambray…

Chambray & Patterned Scarf
When I see chambray, it’s usually in the form of a casual button-down or a dress. However, one of the clothing items I received for Christmas was this loose, chambray top. The top is a boxy, chambray sweatshirt. I paired it with black skinnies and a patterned scarf which I tied a different way than usual. Top: LOFT Pants: Gap Boots: Steve Madden via DSW I love the pattern and the colors of this scarf. I can’t remember where I got it. I have so many scarfs that I got as gifts and that I bought when I was in Turkey a few years ago and I can’t remember where this one’s from!…

Chambray
Chambray became really popular a few years ago. At first, I didn’t think it was for me – maybe it was memories of wearing uncomfortable, rough, denim shirts when I was in elementary school. As the chambray popularity grew, I started to see awesome styles with it and it grew on me. It wasn’t until this fall that I finally found the perfect one for me. I decided to dress it down for my post-Christmas day ootd with a Christmas graphic tee, burgundy stretch cords, and combat booties. Chambray Shirt: American Eagle Tee: Abercrombie & Fitch Stretch Cords: Uniqlo Combat Booties: Betsey Johnson Litzlo Combat Booties via DSW This chambray shirt is the softest…

Pre-Hurricane Iselle Looks
Update: I’m now on Bloglovin as well to make it easier to follow me and my posts! <a href=”http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/12693347/?claim=qx25c2b85jb”>Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a> If you missed my last few posts I am in Hawaii for vacation – more specifically I’m on the big island currently. Yesterday, there was the looming threat of Hurricane Iselle. I’m happy to report that the area that I’m staying was left untouched by the storm. There were periods of high winds, but I don’t think it even rained where I am. However, because there was the possibility of severe weather a lot of businesses such as restaurants and stores closed by mid afternoon. Here are…
