• Snowy Tree

    #fbf Snowy Tree

I wrote yesterday about how I’m hoping for at least one snow day before winter’s over. It’s been an unusually quiet winter and while winters that have constant snow storms gets annoying and tiring, it’s also so weird to not have any snow! We had snow twice I think this season but both times it was very little and pretty much gone the next day. I just need a dose of winter prettiness and not just cold, bleak winter days. And a snow day from work wouldn’t hurt either! So for my Flashback Friday, I’m throwing it back to 2 years ago when we had a snow storm and the…

    #fbf Kiyomizu-dera Wind Chimes

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Flashback Friday or #fbf post so I thought I’d do one today! As I scrolled through my camera roll to find a photo that would jump out at me as one I would want to share today, I came across my videos of the beautiful wind chimes at Kiyomizu-dera – a temple in Kyoto, Japan that I visited in summer 2018. The temple is actually a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I though this photo and more specifically, the sound of the chimes, was especially fitting given that for many people this week has been particularly emotionally draining. I don’t know why the…

  • Angel Island

    #fbf View from Angel Island

Happy Friday! I could use a vacation right about now, but that’s not happening so I’ll settle for a flashback Friday in the form of a photo from my vacation to San Francisco back in August. This is a view from Angel Island. How amazing would it be to live in one of those houses across the water? Okay, that’s about all the pretending I can do since there’s still a day of work to get through before the weekend!

  • Russian Hill

    #fbf San Francisco Hills

When most people think of San Francisco they probably think of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and fog. Sometimes people think about the steep hills in the city and they are seriously steep. It’s hard to capture the steepness in photos. You have to be in just the right spot for it to translate on camera. While I was looking through photos on my phone I came across a photo that I think really shows off the steep streets. The photo I’m sharing today in this #fbf, Flashback Friday, is from the morning I went to Lombard St. aka The Crookedest Street. After taking a ton of photos and waiting…

  • Heart shaped petals

    #fbf Heart Shaped Petals

The title of this blog post might be misleading, but I didn’t know what else to call it. The flower petals themselves aren’t heart shaped, but they just so happened to flow down the street with the rain and stop at the end of my driveway in the shape of a heart! This photo is fitting since it seems like we get pouring, stormy weather multiple times a week lately. A few weeks ago I had just gotten home from work, the rain had just stopped, and I was walking down my driveway to get the garbage can or the recycling to bring back in to the garage. The rain…

    #fbf Custom Floral Maxi

Happy Friday! This week didn’t go by too slowly which was nice, but I am feeling so tired and run down. Stressed to the max! So let’s throw it back to a carefree photo from last month when I was visiting family in Georgia. I wore this tiered floral maxi dress that was custom made for me from Eshakti for Easter lunch. This photo pretty much embodies how I want to feel right now! Dress: Eshakti | Wedges: DSW | Sunglasses: Quay Australia Sending easy and carefree vibes your way!

  • Daffodils

    #fbf Daffodils

My flashback Friday, #fbf, this time around is from just last weekend. I was taking some outfit photos at my parents house and I took a few photos of my mom’s daffodils that have just come out. I love daffodils and the bright yellow is so cheery! My parents get a ton of deer in our yard and they eat everything. But, someone recently told my mom that deer don’t eat yellow flowers – I haven’t looked in to why that is or if it’s true. But so far, so good!

  • Wildwood Boardwalk

    #fbf Foggy Boardwalk

Happy Fri-yay! This week felt about a year long and I’ve heard multiple people say the same thing. I don’t know why it felt so long. I wasn’t busier than usual. I didn’t have more work than usual. It just seemed to drag and feel extra long. But, it’s finally Friday so I wanted to share another old photo and do a Flashback Friday, #fbf. Like last time when I shared green and white flowers, I was scrolling through photos on my phone and came across this one from last June. Last June, I was chaperoning a field trip for the seniors at my school to Wildwood. For those of…

    #fbf Fresh Flowers

Happy Friday! TGIF for sure. So for today’s edition of #fbf – Flashback Friday – I’m not really sure if it counts as a flashback. Yes, I took this photo last weekend. But, the flowers are still in the vase on my kitchen table looking fresh. So I’m not sure if it counts or not, but oh well! Having fresh flowers in the house is a nice breath of fresh air this winter. I bought them because this past Tuesday was Chinese New Year and you’re supposed to have fresh flowers in the house for it. When I was at the grocery store over the weekend to buy my groceries…

  • Ponce City Market - Jeweled Trees

    #fbf Jeweled Tree

It’s Friday! I know it was a shorter work week with the day off on Monday for Martin Luther King Day, but I have been so busy and doing things nonstop all while feeling like I could fall asleep at any moment. I won’t be able to sleep in this weekend much because it’s a busy weekend, but at least I can get in a few more hours of sleep than I have been getting on weeknights. To celebrate it being Friday I’m doing another flashback Friday, #fbf, post. It’s been a little over two years since I was last in Georgia to visit friends and family. On my last…
