    It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara

Quick beauty post for you! I love trying new mascaras and since I don’t wear false lashes I’m always looking for something that will volumize my lashes. Dior Overcurl has been my favorite for a long time, but it’s more expensive than the drugstore mascaras so I don’t buy it all the time. I had heard good things about the It Cosmetics mascara – Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara. It’s only a few dollars less than the Dior one but I wanted to try something new. The verdict? I love it! It’s definitely up there with  Dior Overcurl. Here’s how It Cosmetics describes it: “Imagine lashes so long and full,…

    Christie Brinkley’s Authentic Beauty

Have you guys seen those commercials and infomercials for Christie Brinkley’s skincare line Authentic Skin Care? She’s always been gorgeous and I’m in awe of how amazing and youthful she still looks. I haven’t tried her skin care line, but when I was offered a few items from her Authentic Beauty line, I had to say yes! I was able to pick out 3 items. I chose the Under Eye Concealer in the shade “Light Warm”, the Blink Instant Volumizing Mascara, and Cheek Chic Color & Contour Powder in “Thrill”. First off, how pretty is the rose gold packaging? So sleek and great quality. Under Eye Concealer – I’m hesitant…

Mini Beauty Reviews: NYX, Ardell, & Clinique

My post today is a little different than usual. Originally, I was going to post a review of the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara. But then I thought that would be a super short post and there were a few other new (to me) beauty bits that I could also write about. So rather than write 3 different short posts over the next week, I decided to combine them all into 1 post. So I have for you today, the NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer, the Ardell Brow Pencil, and as mentioned above – the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara. First up, the NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer. It claims to be…

    Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara

It’s Thursday! We’ve made it past the middle of the week and we’re almost to the weekend! I’m so excited to share with you my thoughts on the Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara. It was in my October Favorites and I think I’ve mentioned it once or twice before in the past month. I’ve granted it holy grail status, which is a huge deal. A while ago I went to Sephora and while talking to one of the girls there I asked her if she could suggest a mascara to me that would hold a curl. My lashes are stick straight and despite using an eyelash curler daily my curled lashes…

Review: Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara

I’ve been using Essence’s I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara for over a month now so I’ve got a couple more weeks with it. You may recall, I mentioned before that I typically toss my mascaras every 2 months. I have very mixed feelings about this mascara. Read on to find out why! First, I need to say that the mascara definitely lives up to its name. Well, I’m not sure it produces “extreme, crazy” volume, but it does volumize my lashes and makes them appear fuller which is something I love. I’m always a fan of mascaras that can not only hold the curl, but make my lashes appear thicker…

Covergirl Clump Crusher: Yea or Nay?

I’m back with another edition of my Yea or Nay series, but this time it’s with a beauty item. I’ve been using the Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara for a month and a half. I typically use mascaras for 2 months before I toss them and begin using a new one. This mascara comes in a bright green tube and has a curved wand. I would describe it as a drier formula so if you like wetter mascaras this may not be for you. For the first couple of days, I was on the fence about whether I liked this mascara or not. After a month and a half I’m still not a…
