I can’t say the name of this Tarte Mascara without hearing Nelly Furtado’s “Maneater” song in my head. I’ve been using the Maneater Mascara for 3 weeks now.
First off, I like this mascara a million times more than the Urban Decay Lash Freak one that I tested out last. Even though I was not a big fan of that one I still used it up because I hate wasting product. But once I was finished with that I started using Maneater and I love it so much more. It’s a drier formula I prefer because it doesn’t clump or make my lashes spidery. It doesn’t weigh my lashes down. It’s nice, lightweight, and volumizing. I actually don’t even feel it on my lashes, which is good and bad. I don’t like when it feels like there’s something on my lashes, but at the same time when I don’t feel anything I start to wonder whether my lashes are still looking good and hasn’t worn off or flaked off or something. But that’s just how it feels.
Here is how the product is described:
Dress your lashes like you style your hair with this lengthening, curling and volumizing mascara. With a soft-flex brush and lightweight triple-black formula, it lifts lashes at the root, styles and fans them out to create amped-up fluttery fullness with no flaking or clumping. The custom molded brush features hundreds of flexible bristles to curl and coat lashes with even, intense pigment powered by lash-strengthening jojoba and carnauba wax.
- Jojoba: Natural soothing and conditioning extract that helps hydrate, strengthen and protect lashes
- Carnauba wax: Emollient from the leaves of the carnauba palm to ensure a smooth application with lengthening and volumizing benefits
