• Christie Brinkley - Authentic Beauty

    Christie Brinkley’s Authentic Beauty

Have you guys seen those commercials and infomercials for Christie Brinkley’s skincare line Authentic Skin Care? She’s always been gorgeous and I’m in awe of how amazing and youthful she still looks. I haven’t tried her skin care line, but when I was offered a few items from her Authentic Beauty line, I had to say yes! I was able to pick out 3 items. I chose the Under Eye Concealer in the shade “Light Warm”, the Blink Instant Volumizing Mascara, and Cheek Chic Color & Contour Powder in “Thrill”. First off, how pretty is the rose gold packaging? So sleek and great quality. Under Eye Concealer – I’m hesitant…

  • Kat Von D Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick - Lovecraft

Kat Von D – Studded Kiss

Kat Von D is a brand that I haven’t tried much from. I have two eye palettes from the brand and I really like both, but I haven’t tried anything else. So I was really excited to receive this lipstick from the Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick line in the shade “Lovecraft” from Influenster. The lipsticks are described as “the creamiest, most cushiony and unbelievably pigmented lipstick to ever cross your lips” so I really wanted to see if it lived up to the description! The shade “Lovecraft” is is a pinky mauve color which is just my shade. This was great because when you get things through Influenster or through…

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation

I’m here with a beauty review today – a foundation! Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation (that’s a mouthful) isn’t new – it’s been around for years, but it’s new to me. I first heard people gushing about it a few years ago and I made a mental note to try it out. But, you know how it is – other products come up or you keep forgetting you wanted to try something and the next thing you know it’s 3 years later! So without further ado let me tell you if this foundation lives up to the hype. As a side note – it’s fitting that I’m talking about…

  • L'Oreal Colour Riche Matte Addiction

    L’Oreal Colour Riche Matte Addiction

Happy Sunday! I hope all your weekends are going well so far. Today, I’m sharing with you some thoughts and photos of a few L’Oreal products that I received from Influenster. I received 3 lipsticks and 3 lipliners all from the Matte collection. Mattes aren’t normally my thing, because I like the glossy look, so I was interested to see if I would like these mattes. I love the names of the shades – love clever names. The shades I received for the lipsticks are: “He Thinks He’s Matte-Cho”, “Matte – Sterpiece”, and “Blake’s Red”. That last one isn’t so clever, but I think it’s from that collection with the…

  • Lorac - Beauty &the Beast Lip Gloss

Lorac – Beauty & the Beast

I’ve been pretty good lately about not getting all the limited edition items I want, but when Lorac came out with the Beauty & the Beast collection I really wanted to get my hands on it since it is one of my favorite Disney movies ever. I got the eye palette, cheek palette, and lip glosses. I didn’t get the lipsticks because I didn’t want to go too overboard, plus if I have to choose between glosses and lipsticks, I’d pick glosses. I’ve been using these products this past week and I’ve been really liking them. The quality is great, as I’ve come to expect with the brand, and I love the…

  • Clarins Lip Comfort Oil - Mint

    Clarins Lip Comfort Oil

I was lucky enough to receive this Clarins Lip Comfort Oil from Influenster last week and I’ve been enjoying using it ever since. Clarins describes it as lip oils that are “infused with 100% pure plant oils nourish, soothe and plump lips — leaving a protective veil of color. Apply before lipstick for a smooth application, wear alone for soft hydrated lips, or top off any lip color for added shine.” I had no idea what shade I would be sent and I was a little apprehensive when I got the mint one. A beautiful blue shade, but what I didn’t know at the time is that the mint lip oil is not tinted…

  • L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation

    L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation

I’m a fan of L’Oreal foundations and when I was recently in the market for a new one I decided to try the L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation. This foundation is in a squeezy tube and is on the thicker side. I have the shade “natural buff” which is a little dark for me, but I’ve been making it work. It applies a bit orange, but thankfully a few minutes after being buffed in to the skin it changes to a much more natural color. I’ve been applying this the past few weeks with my oval brush from Mikasa Beauty. The foundation offers nice, even coverage. I would say it gives medium…

  • Mikasa Brushes

    Mikasa Beauty Brushes

A few weeks ago Mikasa Beauty reached out to me and offered me a really sweet discount code on their website plus a complimentary makeup sponge – their Lemon Drop sponge which retails for $10. I, a firm believer that you can never have too many makeup brushes, took them up on their offer and bought a small set of their oval brushes and redeemed my Lemon Drop. Mikasa sells traditional makeup brushes as well, but since oval brushes have been all over social media in recent months I wanted to check them out. Mikasa calls their oval brush collection “Techni Brushes”. I got the 4 piece set which includes the medium…

    ItsJudyTime – ItsEyeTime Palette

Do you watch YouTube? Years ago I was searching YouTube for tips and tricks with gel liner and I came across YouTuber ItsJudyTime. I instantly loved her video and started browsing through her channel for other videos. I, then, quickly found out that she had another YouTube channel, her daily vlog ItsJudysLife that chronicled her and her husband’s day. When I discovered her channel she was expecting her first baby. Now, if you follow Judy as well you know this was quite a while ago because she has 3 kids now! Anyway, I was an instant fan of hers because she is so down to earth and seems so normal…

    bareMinerals Invisible Light

I have been using bareMinerals for years and years – a little less these days but it’s still a reliable brand after all these years in my opinion. I started using their powder foundation back when I was in high school. We don’t need to talk about how many years ago that was. My mom had ordered it for me through QVC on an automated delivery schedule so it would get sent to me monthly and that’s basically all I wore in terms of makeup for years. Those were the days when all bareMinerals products were loose mineral powders. Remember back when the only eyeshadows they sold were loose powders? It…
