L’Oreal Colour Riche Matte Addiction

Happy Sunday! I hope all your weekends are going well so far. Today, I’m sharing with you some thoughts and photos of a few L’Oreal products that I received from Influenster.

I received 3 lipsticks and 3 lipliners all from the Matte collection. Mattes aren’t normally my thing, because I like the glossy look, so I was interested to see if I would like these mattes.

I love the names of the shades – love clever names. The shades I received for the lipsticks are: “He Thinks He’s Matte-Cho”, “Matte – Sterpiece”, and “Blake’s Red”. That last one isn’t so clever, but I think it’s from that collection with the celebrities like Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, etc. For the liners, I got: “Matte-Stermind”, “In Matte-tuated With You”, “Matte-ing Call”.

When I think of matte lip products I think drying. But I’m happy to report that these products are not drying at all. In fact they are really creamy and apply very smoothly with no drag at all. They are so easy to swipe. The only thing matte about them is that there is no shine, so that’s nice!

In terms of longevity, they are pretty long lasting. The lip liners especially. When I first swatched them, it took some scrubbing to get the lip liners off my arm, but the lipsticks were a little easier to take off. However, the lipsticks still do stick around for a while on the lips. Below, I’m wearing “Matte-Stermind” as a lipliner and “Matte-Sterpiece” for the lipstick and after eating fruit and drinking coffee, it still looked great. If I dabbed my lips with a napkin there was transfer so it’s not transfer proof, but the color was still on my lips.

My only qualm is that the shades are darker than they appear in the tube, but nonetheless the shades are still beautiful. Below are photos from shortly after applying and then a few hours later. Still looks good!
