Food,  Life

Central Park & Street Eats

This past weekend was beautiful out (unlike today’s down-pouring) and perfect for spending the day in Central Park. A good friend of mine moves to Michigan (her home state) in a few days so we have been hanging out a lot and thinking of things she hasn’t done in her 2 years here in NJ. She had never had Chicken & Rice at 53rd & 6th, so we knew we had to take her before she leaves. If you live in the New York area, I’m sure you’ve had it or have at least heard of it. The food cart has become so popular over the years that there is even a website and multiple locations. I remember back in the day when my friends and I would drive into the city late at night just to get some food and then drive home. You know you were young back then when it seems completely reasonable to drive 40 minutes into the city just to pick up street food and drive home. Anyway, we decided to make a day of it and spent the later half of the afternoon relaxing in Central Park before getting dinner.
