Holiday Pick: MAC Prabal Gurung

In my last holiday makeup haul, I mentioned how I couldn’t wait for the MAC Prabal Gurung collection to come out. All the promo pictures of this gold packaging looked stunning and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some of the items. Knowing how fast MAC limited edition items sell out, I stalked the page that morning waiting for the items to be released. As soon as I saw the items were available I put the few things I knew I really wanted into my cart and checked out!

I got one of the eye duos (Terre), one of the tinted lipglasses (Light English Red), and one lipstick (also in Light English Red).

Let’s talk about this packaging. It is so beautiful and luxurious. The lipstick and lipglass are lightweight and are not as heavy as I was expecting. It’s good that they aren’t heavy, but the lightness makes it seem a little cheaper considering this is supposed to be MAC’s luxury holiday collection. However, the eye duo packaging does not disappoint at all. It feels very solid and has weight to it. It has a lovely raised, gold detailing on it and the gold is impeccable.

The lip products I got are both Light English Red and as you can see they aren’t red. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you know I’m not a bold lip person so these “reds” are right up my alley.

The colors I got are definitely me and I think the packaging is everything. If you are looking for a makeup gift for the holidays, the beautiful gold packaging is definitely eye catching and perfect to give as a gift. The lipstick is sold out (in all shades), but the other two items I got are still available!
