    MAC Ellie Goulding FOTD

Happy Wednesday! I’m back with another FOTD post since I enjoyed putting together my last one so much. This time around, I’m using mostly products from MAC’s limited edition collection with Ellie Goulding. As soon as I saw the promo pictures released from this collection, I knew I had to get a few pieces. The shades and products were right up my alley. I ultimately decided on 3 items which were a blush/bronzer duo, one of the palettes, and a patentpolish lip pencil, which I swatched here. I used the MAC blush in “I’ll Hold My Breath”, the palette in “Halcyon Nights”, and the patentpolish lip pencil in “Revved”. I…

    MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencils

My favorite lip products are jumbo lip pencils like the Clinique Chubby Sticks or the Revlon Colour Balm Lip Stains. Most of these chubby sticks are so comfortable to wear and they are so easy to use since they normally don’t require you to be too careful when applying them. Since I have a love for jumbo lip pencils, I had to try the MAC Patentpolishes. MAC describes these little gems as “A lip colour that combines the sheen of a gloss with the precision of a lip pencil”. This is right up my alley because I’m more partial to a glossy look than a matte look. In my collection, I have…

    MAC Warm Neutral

Christmas is less than a week away and I have one last gift idea for any beauty lover in your life. A few months ago, I treated myself to the MAC Warm Neutral palette after thinking about getting it for months. I’ve tried just a few MAC shadows and I know there are many shades that are cult favorites so I thought that a pre-made palette like this one would be a great way to try a bunch of shades including some much loved ones like “Brule”. This palette is a neutral lovers dream. I love using this palette for easy looks for work because every single shade blends easily…

    Travel Beauty MVPs

Travel Beauty MVPs by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring a metallic eyeshadow I’ve been traveling a lot recently – 4 trips in less than 2 months to be exact! When you’re picking what to bring with you in your makeup bag for vacation, I usually opt for things that will work well across various events and with all different outfits. I brought some of the same items on all of these trips as well as different ones. Now that my trips are over for the summer, I’ve come up with my top 4 beauty items that I brought with me on vacation. These items are ones that I’m so happy I packed on one…

    March Favorites

March Favorites by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring Christian Dior I can’t believe it’s the end of March already. Seriously, where does the time go? Here’s what I was loving this past month (links to items are provided below)!  ***** MAC Cremesheen Glass in the shade Floating Lotus – If you have been following me/my blog for a while you know that I’m a neutral, pinky nude lip color lover. I love MAC lipglosses because they look so beautiful, are moisturizing, and aren’t too sticky. Floating Lotus is a beautiful soft rose color. Dior Creme de Rose  Speaking of lip products, winter is especially harsh on the lips. I usually use EOS lip balms during the…

    Holiday Pick: MAC Prabal Gurung

In my last holiday makeup haul, I mentioned how I couldn’t wait for the MAC Prabal Gurung collection to come out. All the promo pictures of this gold packaging looked stunning and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some of the items. Knowing how fast MAC limited edition items sell out, I stalked the page that morning waiting for the items to be released. As soon as I saw the items were available I put the few things I knew I really wanted into my cart and checked out! I got one of the eye duos (Terre), one of the tinted lipglasses (Light English Red), and one lipstick…

My First Trip to a CCO

For a long time I’ve heard YouTubers and beauty bloggers mention CCOs and for a long time I’ve seen the store listing at the outlets I’ve gone to. I never went though either because I didn’t have enough time while at the outlets or I would forget about it until after I already left. In case you don’t know, CCO stands for Cosmetics Company Outlet. It doesn’t get a lot of mention, but when I would hear about it it sounded like this amazing place where luxury brands were sold at discount prices. I imagined it to be this big, wonderland of products that would normally cost an arm and…

    Holiday Makeup Haul

As mentioned in my last haul, the holidays are upon us in the makeup world and in real life too. I’m a sucker for pretty and/or adorable packaging so it comes as no surprise that all the holiday collections are pretty detrimental to my health and wallet. The collections always look so amazing and combine that with the fact that they’re all limited edition it’s hard to restrain myself! I’ve gotten a couple of things so far and I know I will be getting a few more and yes, I know it seems like a lot but believe me there are so many more items that I could’ve gotten as well…
