Love Letter Nails
Last year for Valentine’s Day I did light pink nails and drew on hearts. This year I wanted to do something different and not as clearly for Valentine’s. I picked up these Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in “Love Letter” from Target a while ago and thought that these would be perfect for the occasion. They are black & white and feature script all over which are supposed to be parts of a love letter. The script effect is really cool and I got a ton of compliments on my nails this week.
I’ve used Salon Effects nail strips once, possibly twice, before but that was a few years ago so it’s been a while. I love that the little kit provides you with a little cuticle stick and mini nail file so you basically have everything you’ll need for this nail look in one box.
The strips are fairly easy to use and apply. I feel like the lasting time is comparable to regular nail polish. Some of the tips started to chip off by the next day, but for the most part they have stayed in tact for the past week so far. One thing that I don’t like about these strips is that it’s really hard to get your nails to look perfect, because obviously these strips aren’t made for your individual nails. They give you 16 strips of varying sizes so that you can try to find the best fit to each nail, but of course they’re not all going to be perfect. Other than that, I do love this love letter print and I think it’s definitely an unconventional Valentine’s Day nail look!
