How To: Turn a Shirt into a Skirt + Video

Last summer, I saw a few things on Pinterest and on the Internet in general of girls turning mens’ button-down shirts into skirts all without any cutting or sewing. Recently, my brother was getting rid of over a dozen shirts and I swiped a few before he donated them all so that I could try this look out myself.

I like the way the skirt turned out and like I said it’s so easy because there’s not cutting or sewing involved. The other day I saw on Instagram a few pictures of people doing some cutting with button-downs and sewing in elastic to create an off-the-shoulder top which looked super cute, but I’m not quite that crafty yet! Maybe later this summer I can try that out.
