Ole Henriksen – Sheer Transformation
So about 3 years ago I went to a free makeup session at Sephora before going to an event and the makeup artist used Ole Henriksen’s Sheer Transformation on my face to moisturizer after cleansing it. I remember thinking it felt so nice and soothing on my skin and making a mental note that I would definitely need to get it for myself. Well, fast forward a few years later and I finally got it.
It is supposedly suitable for all skin types and is an oil-free moisturizer with a multi-fruit AHA complex to even skintone and smooth skin’s texture. It’s also described as, “a unique lightweight, whipped texture that penetrates skin and with essential moisture. It’s infused with fruit acids to gently exfoliate, refining your skin’s rough, uneven texture, tone, and dullness and while it promotes cell turnover. Pea extract, sugar, and vitamin C work together to fade dark spots and even skintone. Antioxidant protection helps defend skin from future damage. It can be used as a base for makeup application, and it leaves skin looking and feeling soft, healthy, nourished, and radiant.”
Let’s talk about the key ingredients and their benefits.
-Vitamin C: Brightens, boosts collagen, and firms; provides antioxidant protection from environmental damage.
-Licorice: Naturally lightens dark spots and discoloration.
-Pea Extract and Sugar: Corrects and prevents hyperpigmentation.
-Chamomile: Calms and conditions skin.
The moisturizer is as great as I remember from 3 years ago. It feels nice and creamy with its whipped texture but does not feel oily or heavy at all. It is very lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly so you never feel greasy or like your face is still tacky for a long time after.
Would I repurchase? Probably. I like the way it feels and my skin has looked more even toned. However, I’m not a big fan of having to dip in to the product with my fingers. I much prefer the packaging of my beloved Kate Somerville Nourish Daily Moisturizer which is in a round container like Sheer Transformation but has a push down pump. Nonetheless, I can see myself repurchasing this product at some point in the future but this one will last me a long time as I’ve been using it for almost a month and hardly made a dent!

I agree I always get put off by a moisturiser I have to dip my fingers into. It seems a little unhygienic. Great review! Xxx

Yes! I know my hands are clean but it just is so off putting!
