I’ve been hearing about Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair for ages. Estée Lauder products in general always receive a lot of love in the blogosphere and YouTube world. They are one of the high-end companies that you always hear rave reviews about. Honestly, I can’t recall ever hearing someone not liking one of their products. On a side note I still need to try their Double Wear Foundation – I know I’m way behind on this cult favorite. It’s not that I’ve been living under a rock and unaware of this magical foundation; I’ve known about it for years but other foundations always seem to make their way into my basket and now I’ve got a host of foundations to use up before I go out and buy more.
But onto today’s product. I had heard amazing things about the Advanced Night Repair. The full name is actually Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II. That’s a mouthful. This serum is quite pricey at $62 for 1 oz. I received mine as a gift as part of an Estée Lauder set which included a few other creams.
This serum is meant for all skin types and claims to fight visible signs of aging and reveal younger looking skin.
The brand describes it like this, “Reveal a smoother, more luminous, younger look and wake up to beautiful skin every day. This repair serum maximizes the power of skin’s natural nighttime renewal with an exclusive ChronoluxCB™ technology—dramatically reducing visible signs of aging. It improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hydrates skin, and creates an even-toned, healthier-looking, and refreshed complexion.”
The serum comes in a brown bottle with a dropper. So have I noticed a difference? I definitely think it’s helping to make my skin tone more even. My face is less dry, but hasn’t resolved the issue completely. There are days when I feel dry or patchy at the end of the day and others where I think my skin looks smooth and my makeup looks just as good 12+ hours later. My skin is really hit or miss some days. The serum is lightweight and absorbs quickly so I’m never waiting around for it to soak in before putting my moisturizer on.
Would I purchase it for myself? Well, I do like it but I’m not sure I like it enough to spend so much money on it. So it’s a maybe for now!
