Halo Top Creamery

A few weeks ago Halo Top Creamery reached out to me and asked if I’d like to try out their ice cream. Being a huge ice cream fan, of course I said yes! Now Halo Top is a low-calorie, high-protein, low-sugar ice cream brand and seeing as how many of us are always trying to cut back on the calories especially now that it’s bathing suit weather, I really wanted to give it a try. I’ve tried other low-fat brands over the years that I didn’t think tasted that good, so I was interested to see how Halo Top would compare.

Halo Top Creamery - Chocolate Almond Crunch

With my two golden tickets I bought the Mint Chip and Chocolate Almond Crunch. The Mint Chip really did taste like regular ice cream! It was very minty and refreshing and the chocolate chips were the perfect little chocolate morsels. The Chocolate Almond Crunch was good but has a very strong almond flavor – think almond extract flavor. I was looking for more of a chocolate ice cream taste with almonds in it. But instead, I didn’t get a strong chocolate flavor like I was looking for, but more of an almond taste. Not bad, just not what I was expecting.

Between the two flavors, I definitely preferred the Mint Chip. There are some other flavors that I’d like to try like Lemon Cake and Birthday Cake.

Thanks Halo Top for my pints!
