• Mint chocolate chip ice cream

    Ice Cream

What’s your favorite flavor of ice cream? I go through phases of what my favorite is and I can go for months or a year even of just eating that flavor. I like pretty classic flavors and vanilla will always be a go-to for me, but I also love mint chocolate chip, cookie dough, cookies and cream, butter pecan, tin roof sundae, and more. Last summer I was on a real pistachio almond kick. These photos with me and my mint chocolate chip cone, sprinkle clutch, and chambray jumpsuit is from last summer when we could go out to the ice cream parlors sans mask.

    May 2019 Favorites

It’s the last day of May, if you can believe it. This week has been a quick one at work since I had Monday and Tuesday off, but it’s been very busy. Last night was prom and today I’ve got a hair appointment after work. Tomorrow, a wedding. The end of the school year is always extremely busy for me at work and personally! I only have a few favorites in May and coincidentally, two are beauty/skincare related and 2 are food. And not just food in general, but they’re both ice cream. Clearly, I am working on my summer bod! Let’s do the fun stuff first – the ice…

    Ice Cream Cake

Did you watch the series finale of Game of Thrones last night? I’ll go more in depth with my thoughts next week in a post after the 2 hour documentary, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the finale. And I wanted a happier ending for the Starks. But I’ll go all in to that next week sometime, which also gives anyone who’s behind in watching some time to catch up! Anyway, on to this post – specifically the title of this post. When I say ice cream cake, I really mean cake. Today I’m sharing a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream in the layers. 5 years ago (I…

Be Mine & Strawberry Ice Cream Milk Shake

It’s a snow day! (I’m writing this ahead of time so I don’t know if there’s snow on the ground or not). The snow day was called last night and with my cold I’m so thankful for a day off to just rest! If you liked my grey sweatshirt with heart print on the elbow that I posted yesterday, then I have another casual Valentine’s top for you today. I have a handful (or two) of Christmas tees and sweatshirts, but nothing for Valentine’s Day so when I saw this red tee that says “Be Mine” I had to have it. The varsity stripes the perfect touch too! On the…

  • Fried Honey Bananas

    Fried Honey Bananas

How is it Wednesday already? This week off work needs to slow down! I’m sharing a sweet treat food post with you today. Fun fact: I don’t like banana flavored things. I love bananas, the actual fruit, but not things that are flavored like banana – like lollipops, candy, etc. Since I do like real bananas, I’m sharing this recipe with you today for fried honey bananas. I don’t remember where I got the recipe originally, but i think this one might be it or at least pretty close. This recipe is really simple. You just need a banana, honey, cinnamon, water, and olive oil. Slice the banana up and in a…

  • The Curious Creamery - Vanilla Ice Cream

    Curious Creamery Ice Cream

Today might be December 1, but I can have ice cream any time of the year. When The Curious Creamery reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try some of their ice cream mixes, I jumped at the chance. Who doesn’t love ice cream?! What’s cool about these mixes is that they make it so easy for you to make ice cream at home and they are healthier than your average ice cream. They contain no high fructose corn syrup, no trans fats, no artificial flavor, colors, or preservatives, naturally gluten free, and has 0g of Lactose. All you need is a hand mixer and cold liquid! The Curious…

  • Chipwich

I love ice cream, but sometimes you just want to switch it up. I make chocolate chip cookies every so often and by that I mean maybe once a month or every other month. So one day after making a batch I thought – chipwich! I hadn’t had one in ages so I thought I’d make one. If I had known ahead of time that I would be doing this I would’ve made sure to make my cookies a little softer as opposed to crunchy because after it freezes it obviously gets harder. So the cookies were a bit crumbly since they were harder to bite in to but it was…

  • Halo Top Creamery - Pints

    Halo Top Creamery

A few weeks ago Halo Top Creamery reached out to me and asked if I’d like to try out their ice cream. Being a huge ice cream fan, of course I said yes! Now Halo Top is a low-calorie, high-protein, low-sugar ice cream brand and seeing as how many of us are always trying to cut back on the calories especially now that it’s bathing suit weather, I really wanted to give it a try. I’ve tried other low-fat brands over the years that I didn’t think tasted that good, so I was interested to see how Halo Top would compare. With my two golden tickets I bought the Mint Chip…

    Photo Challenge: Jubilant

I have two extra days off for Memorial Day Weekend making my long weekend a grand total of 5 days. Thank you un-used snow days! If that didn’t make me jubilant enough, last night was prom and it was my 5th year chaperoning since the seniors are one of the grades I teach. I knew I wanted to use a picture from prom as my photo response to this past week’s photo challenge, “Jubilant“. The students all had a good time, but obviously I’m not going to use a picture of them! The venue and decorations were all very nice, but I didn’t get any great pictures for the challenge. So,…
