Fried Honey Bananas
How is it Wednesday already? This week off work needs to slow down! I’m sharing a sweet treat food post with you today. Fun fact: I don’t like banana flavored things. I love bananas, the actual fruit, but not things that are flavored like banana – like lollipops, candy, etc. Since I do like real bananas, I’m sharing this recipe with you today for fried honey bananas.
I don’t remember where I got the recipe originally, but i think this one might be it or at least pretty close.
This recipe is really simple. You just need a banana, honey, cinnamon, water, and olive oil.
Slice the banana up and in a pan that has some olive oil in it, place the bananas and let them brown up. Meanwhile, whisk up some honey and water. Equal parts honey and water. Then, remove the bananas from the heat when you’re happy with how they look and drizzle the honey mixture over top. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and you’re done! Or you can be like me and put the fried honey bananas on top of some vanilla ice cream and really make a treat!
These fried honey bananas are so good on their own, but with vanilla ice cream it’s just heavenly. The ice cream is so refreshing combined with the warm, sweet bananas. Yum!
