Cape Cod – What’s in My Makeup Bag
I always like to see what people travel with. I find these kinds of posts a lot more interesting than “What’s in My Purse” posts because I’m usually not that interested in what’s in someone’s purse. My purse has nothing interesting in it which is why I never win those purse games at bridal showers. In any case, I’m away on vacation to Cape Cod with my family for the holiday. I’ll be writing some travel posts this coming week, so be on the lookout for that!
Today’s post about what makeup I brought with me is going to be short partly because I’m tired (I’m writing this on Saturday night) and partly because I don’t remember the names of each item I brought with me and I don’t feel like going into my bag right now to look! Oh well.
I packed my makeup in this pretty floral Tumi bag that my friend gave me for Christmas. It actually holds quite a bit and I love the separate compartments so I can keep everything organized!
I brought a few lip products with me this week ranging from chubby sticks to balms to matte lip paints. All pinks and mauves – my kind of colors!
I decided to really pare back the amount of products I brought with me this year. I brought 2 eye palettes that also included highlights, bronzers, and blushes so I didn’t have to bring extra singles or contour palettes. I brought an old fav the Tarte Aqualillies palette and the BareMinerals Regal Wardrobe palette. Both offer neutral shades with pops of color and cheek products. Then, bareMinerals Lash Domination Mascara (not a fav) and my trusty Wet n Wild brow kit.
I brought my NYX Angel Veil primer and two foundations. I’m almost out of my L’oreal Visibile Lift Blur so I brought my Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation which I’m really excited to start trying out since it’s been a cult favorite for years. To round out the products here I have concealers, bareMinerals Well Rested liquid pen and eyeshadow primer.
The last of the powders is my Neutrogena Mineral Powder which I lightly buff in after my liquid foundation. Then, the bareMinerals Mineral Veil which I lightly dust over my face as a finishing powder. bareMinerals Well Rested Powder I used under my eyes after my undereye concealer.
The two facial sprays I brought with me are the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray which I use in the morning after I shower and at night after I wash my face. The MAC Fix+ is to set my makeup.
And that’s all I brought with me! My brushes went into another bag with some other odds and ends like tweezers etc.
