Serve it Up: Dream Kitchen
If you’ve followed along with any of my home decor inspiration posts, you’ll know that I have a thing for kitchens. I had a post back in the spring all about french country kitchen stylesΒ so you know I like to dream about my dream kitchen. Whenever Polyvore does home decor challenges, I like to take part because it’s fun to imagine how you would style or decorate a room and put together whatever you want. So when Polyvore had a dream kitchen challenge, I had to take part naturally!
I love the white cabinets in this kitchen for that bright, clean look, especially with so much natural light pouring in from those floor to ceiling windows and french doors. The light grey kitchen island is perfect with the white cabinets to offer a little bit of contrast without being stark. I also didn’t want everything to be white.
Continuing with the light theme, I would go with light pastels and creamy colors. Mint green mugs, and super feminine floral patterned china that look dreamy and vintage rather than bold and loud. Nickel fixtures like this gorgeous sink faucet and for knobs around the kitchen would go perfectly. Fresh flowers in a clear and simple vase would look great in the center of the island. Lastly, I love subway tiles and this turquoise backsplash would be amazing in this dream kitchen of mine. The glass look of the tiles almost makes it look clear and turquoise at the same time if that makes sense.
Maybe one day I will have a kitchen just like this!
