Decor That Makes You Go “Is It Kind Of Purple In Here?”

    October 17, 2019 /

Purple, it’s a kind of unloved color. It’s not quite feminine like pink, but it’s not quite masculine like blue. It’s a kind of forgotten middle child. But does it have its place in the modern home? If you love to experiment with decor then yes it does. Even if you’re not too keen on the color, it can fit in with many other modern tones that you see all-around your home. The key is pairing it with colors that either elevate it or allow it to blend in. it’s also where you implement this color as well. You’re not going to paint your front door purple anytime soon, but…

Why The Finishing Touches Matter So Much

    September 2, 2019 /

Image by Pezibear from Pixabay  No one wants a half-done job; no one even wants an almost finished job. Attention to detail is key, and when you’re doing any project, you should want to do it right and see it through to the end, and this is why the finishing touches matter so much. When renovating your home, finishing touches are possibly even more important; your home is where you live, it’s where you spend most of your time, it needs to keep you safe, keep you warm and make you happy. If you were to have a new roof, and you didn’t put the final finishing touches to it…

Source When most of us think of changes that we could make to our home, the first things that come to mind are the really big projects. Things, like putting in an extension or converting a space into a more useable room, are the obvious choices for interior design alterations but they’re also incredibly time-consuming, difficult, and expensive. Who Said Home Decor Had To Be Impractical?

    April 3, 2019 /

Often, decor is stylish without being altogether practical. When we’re on the hunt for an interior revamp, most of us just want pieces which look the part. After all, decor is and should be about making things look good. Hence why we reach for ornaments which serve no purpose, or art hangings which don’t do anything. In some cases, we even opt for items which should be practical but are designed in a way that means they aren’t. Many of us invest in chairs no one could sit on, for example. All in the name of decor. But, what if we were to tell you that it’s possible to get…

Love Everything Vintage? Style Your Home Like This

    February 14, 2019 /

Vintage interior design can be everything from a rustic farm style to a luxurious and expensive-looking villa – and it doesn’t really matter if you’ve actually spent a lot of money on it either. If you find yourself rummaging through second-hand shops on a regular basis or just look a bit too much forward to the old furniture you might inherit one day, you’ve definitely found the style of your dreams. Image link: Pexels The only problem is, of course, to find the balance between charmingly old school and a living room that looks like it belonged to one of your eccentric aunts. Vintage can, after all, become a bit…

    February 9, 2019 /

The problem with a lot of homes today is that they all look the same! This is because retail shops tend to stock identical products from the same suppliers. February 1, 2019 /

The majority of us now spend our days working office jobs and staring at computer screens. It should come as no surprise, then, that we look for screen-free alternatives once we get home of an evening. Many households are now finding that their televisions remain off for days on end as they seek better ways to spend their free time. Some of us are even repurposing areas in our houses to meet that need. Many people, for example, now dedicate their garages and basements to yoga. And, as we’re going to be considering here, some people are even turning their home offices over to mini libraries. In many ways, reading…

2 Fights by @nikkicastleromance is the second book 2 Fights by @nikkicastleromance is the second book in the Fight Game series and follows Jax and Hailey. We met both characters in 5 Rounds. Jax is best friends with both Remy and Tristan and Hailey is Remy’s younger sister. Glimpses of Hailey’s toxic relationship was seen in the first book and in 2 Fights she begins to realize how harmful her boyfriend has been to her mental health and self esteem. Jax helps her through it all and reminds her of her amazing she is. Jax has looked out for Hailey since she was a kid but is now seeing her in a different light and realizing how beautiful and grown up she is. Hailey had a crush on Jax when she was a kid but now is there something there? They have always had chemistry, but now with all the time they’re spending together they can’t nor do they want to be apart. 💕📚

The love between Jax and Hailey is really sweet. We see their relationship go from a loving friendship to a soulmate type of love. There is lots of good spice, but the real story is about Hailey’s healing from her past and how Jax helps her along the way👫. I loved the book! My obsession with them is a little less than with Remy and Tristan, but still loved the book.

This is great for lovers of sports romance, friends to lovers, and sister’s best friend/best friend’s sister tropes. My full review is on the blog ✨

Things We Hide from the Light by @scorelucy picks Things We Hide from the Light by @scorelucy picks up right after Things We Never Got Over and focuses on Nash and Lina. Nash, our lovable police chief, is silently dealing with ptsd from almost dying and his shooter still on the run. Lina , our fiesty insurance investigator, is adjusting to temporarily living in the small town of Knockemout and surprisingly liking it. There was an instant attraction between the two and for some reason Nash can only feel calm and not anxious when she’s with him and Nash is the first person Lina has ever remotely considered a relationship with. 📖

Can Nash be the one to change her mind about relationships? Can Lina help him through his PTSD and be happy again? Will Nash be okay when he finds out that Lina is in town because she’s coincidentally after the same guy who tried to kill him? 👀 💖

I loved this book! Nash and Lina were such great characters and I was happy to be back in Knockemout with beloved characters especially Knox, Naomi, and Way of course! 💕📚

Read this if you’re in the mood for a spicy contemporary romance with brother’s best friend and forced proximity vibes. Now I can’t wait for Lucian and Sloane’s book! My full review is on the blog! 📚✨

I loved Always a Princess by @clyverose a few year I loved Always a Princess by @clyverose a few years ago so when she sent me her follow up in the series, The King’s Mistress, I was so excited! The novel takes place a few years after Always a Princess and follows Lydia, Wil’s younger sister who is now at marrying age, and Valkin, Syeira’s brother who is a Romany king. 👑

When Lydia finds out that her father has betrothed her to an old and mean Earl, she runs away to try to get to France to find safety in her eldest brother, Roger. But on the way she happens upon the Romany camp where Valkin, Syeira, and Wil live. Lydia claims she is the mistress of Valkin for protection. Wil and Syeira are away and Valkin does not recognize her after so many years. Unwilling to reveal her true identity in order to protect Valkin’s people, Lydia is comforted by the feeling of community and family (and the rekindling of her childhood crush on Valkin) until she is well enough to head to France. Valkin knows she should go for the safety of his people but he also doesn’t want to let her go. 💕

The slow burn, tension, and angst in this book was so good! I loved Lydia and Valkin and getting to see beloved couple Wil and Syeira and their growing family again. My full review is on the blog ✨📖
