The Watermark Restaurant

I briefly mentioned in my Niagara Falls post about my dinner at The Watermark Restaurant at the top of the Hilton – Fallsview Hotel. The views of the falls are spectacular so we definitely wanted to have dinner there for our one night in town.

The menu at The Watermark is a prix fixe menu and you can choose between 3 dishes or 5. My dad, brother, and I chose 5 dishes and my mom chose 3 so we could share some of the small plates and appetizers. I really only ate 4 dishes as I had my eye on 4 things but didn’t think I could eat 5 so I gave my mom one of the dishes.

I ordered 2 shrimp cocktails (my mom had the other order). These tiger shrimp came with a avocado dipping sauce, sweet chili, and traditional horseradish cocktail. My favorite was the sweet chili!

I got the charcuterie because I couldn’t resist! It came with house-made country pâté, spicy Italian salami, and pingue prosciutto.

My dad ordered the escargot which I had a few pieces of. It was served with smoked ham, toasted almonds, roasted garlic, and lemon buerre blanc.

He also ordered the mussels which I shared with him. PEI mussels steamed with curry coconut broth and leeks. I asked for no cilantro but otherwise it would also be served with that. There are actual coconut pieces in the dish!

For my meal I got the Jail Island Salmon, which was so tasty. It was grilled with capers, spring onion, and lemon dill buerre blanc and roasted fingerling potatoes. So good!

For my dessert I got the meyer lemon mousse which was so incredibly light and airy. It was like whipped air! It was delicious!

All the appetizers were good but the real stars were my salmon and the dessert. And the view of course!
