    Hershey at Christmas

The last time I went to Hershey, Pennsylvania I was probably around 10 or 11. Needless to say it’s been a long time and it’s only about 2.5 hours away from me. My hopes of going somewhere tropical this winter vacation were dashed by semi last minute planning and the very high prices of warm weather destinations during the winter. So when thinking of places nearby for a quick getaway, my family and I decided to go to Hershey since I’d heard it’s supposed to be nice for the holidays. We went for 2 days and it was a nice time and not too jam packed, which offered time to…

    San Francisco Eats

Now that I’ve wrapped up my recaps of each of my days on vacation in San Francisco, I’m sharing what I ate on my trip! I didn’t take photos of every single meal because things like breakfast and snacks get repetitive. Below you’ll see the breakdown by day and meal and I’ll link to the restaurant if I can! Tuesday Dinner We arrived in time for dinner on Tuesday and went to Tratto for dinner. It didn’t look too crowded inside and the menu looked good. The hostess said it would be a 3 hour wait without a reservation! But we were able to sit at the high top tables without…

    Foodie Diary: Georgia

As many of you already know, I just came home from a long weekend in Georgia visiting family outside Atlanta. Since I am off for spring break, I went down on Friday and came home on Tuesday. I’ve been to Georgia many times over the years so my time there is mostly just hanging out with friends and family and lots of eating. There are always new restaurants opening near my cousins and since my cousin has a food instagram she always knows good places to go. I have at least 1 other food post from Georgia, if not more. Before this post gets too long, let me jump right in…

    Foodie Diary: Hong Kong

My trip to Hong Kong was filled with food. Seriously, so much food! As I did for Japan and previous other trips, I’m recapping what I ate. This isn’t everything as I skipped photographing most breakfasts and a few other meals here and there that didn’t seem significant enough to take photos of. I also missed some photos when I was at family dinners because it was hard to take photos. Chinese dinners are usually family style also so there are so many dishes – too many to photograph all of them! Without further ado let me share what I do have – which is still a lot! When we first…

    Foodie Diary: Japan

One of my favorite parts of traveling is eating – trying out different restaurants and cuisines. Today, as promised, I’m sharing most of my Japan eats from this trip. I’m not sharing every little thing, because honestly not everything is worth sharing like my eggs at breakfast and little random things. But here are all the things I ate that I thought were worth sharing! Junisoh An included tofu amuse bouche, tuna roll, and garlic fried rice.Vanilla ice cream with sweet bean paste for dessert. Kyushu Jangara Ramen with pork broth, chunks of pork, seasoned cod roe, and a hard boiled egg. Metropolitan Grill Included lamb amuse bouche, house marinated…

    Photo Challenge: Layered

I’m so happy it’s Friday! I’ve been so tired all week and I can’t wait to relax a little this weekend. Last week’s photo challenge was “Layered” and for some reason I immediately thought of food. Then I just had to think of what kind of layered food I had a photo of that was photo challenge worthy. I decided on this photo I took from an intense seafood dinner at Fishman Lobster Clubhouse with family while in Toronto over the summer. They are famous for their mountains of lobster and crab. This is a photo of the tower of King Crab Legs we got! Isn’t that nuts?! Talk about…

    The Watermark Restaurant

I briefly mentioned in my Niagara Falls post about my dinner at The Watermark Restaurant at the top of the Hilton – Fallsview Hotel. The views of the falls are spectacular so we definitely wanted to have dinner there for our one night in town. The menu at The Watermark is a prix fixe menu and you can choose between 3 dishes or 5. My dad, brother, and I chose 5 dishes and my mom chose 3 so we could share some of the small plates and appetizers. I really only ate 4 dishes as I had my eye on 4 things but didn’t think I could eat 5 so I…
