San Francisco + Sacramento Food Diary

If you read my post yesterday, then you know I spent the weekend in California for a friend’s wedding. I love posting about the food I eat when I travel so here’s a little round up of my quick trip.

After arriving in San Francisco, we went to Koja Kitchen for lunch. I got the Ahi Tuna Bowl and it was delicious.

After we rode the cable cars down to Fishermen’s Wharf, we stopped by Ghirardelli and I got a hot chocolate.

Then we headed to Sacramento and ate a little bit at the Welcome Dinner, but it was mostly wings and fries so afterwards we went to In-N-Out and I got a cheeseburger.

The next morning, we went to Temple Coffee Roasters for breakfast. I got the Mexican Hot Chocolate, but the barista told me it could be on ice too so that’s what I got! I also got a raspberry almond muffin. Both were super yummy.

For lunch we went to Mas Taco Bar and we ordered some appetizers – chips and guacamole and grilled corn on the cob. For my meal, I ordered 3 tacos – pork belly, braised short rib, and baja fish. They were all good, but the baja fish (blackened salmon tapatio aioli, cabbage, and jalapeno) was my favorite!

Dinner at the wedding reception was a braised beef short rib, panko caesar crusted chicken breast in a sherry cream, potatoes, and vegetables at The Sterling Hotel.

Lastly, I ate breakfast at the airport in San Francisco on Sunday – a breakfast sandwich with scrambled egg, bacon, cheese, on a brioche bun, potatoes, and orange juice.

I had some really good food on this short trip. My favorite probably being the tacos!
