Crochet Detailed A-Line Dress

Well yesterday’s snow storm wasn’t as bad as predicted, but I still had off from work. I’m so ready for warmer weather!

The dress I’m sharing today though is perfect for the cold weather. You may have seen my sneak peek of it a few weeks ago on my Instagram stories.

Two weekends ago I had my friend’s bridal shower. I find showers hard to know how to dress for because you don’t know how fancy or casual to dress unless you’re in-the-know about the planning. I try to dress somewhere in the middle. When I got this pink long sleeve a-line dress with crochet detailing, i knew it would be perfect for the bridal shower. It is so pretty and fit me perfectly. The skirt has ribbed detailing and is quite thick, almost like a scuba knit, and the top is a very soft stretchy knit cotton.

So when I first got this dress I was worried it wouldn’t fit. It looked like it had some stretch to it but the waist, although stretchy, looked so small! But by some miracle, and it probably helped that I’ve been adamant about keeping up with my BBG program, it fit me like a glove. And not like a tight glove with rolls bulging out, but a perfect fit.

How sweet is the crochet detailing? I love that it’s down the sleeves as well. It looks so perfect against the light pink of the dress.

I love the a-line style and the length was perfect to wear with taupe over-the-knee boots. The thick fabric and the otk boots helped keep me warm on a cold, early March day. The only time when I felt the dress was a bit short was when I was helping to move balloons around and had to bend over to pick them up. I quickly realized that that was not a good idea! Otherwise, I love the length and everything about the dress from the form, ribbed skirt, crochet detailing, neckline.

If you’re interested in the dress, I’ve linked to it above, but at the time I’m writing this there are only a few left!
