Met Gala 2018

This is coming a day late, but I didn’t have a chance to go through all the Met Gala looks until yesterday. The theme this year was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & the Catholic Imagination” so think over the top, ornate, rich fabric looks. For some reason renaissance looks come to mind for me. I’ve rounded up some looks I personally loved below.

First up, Blake Lively looked amazing as usual in Atelier Versace. I loved every inch of this dress. I read somewhere that she needed to ride in a bus because her gown wouldn’t fit in a regular car. Not sure if that was a joke or not, but I believe it!

Kate Bosworth looked positively ethereal in her Oscar de la Renta gown and veil.

I thought Mindy Kaling’s Vassilis Zoulias gown was a little plain and basic although beautiful with Audrey Hepburn vibes. However, I’m including her here because I’m in love with her crown! Look at those giant blue stones!

I really liked Amal Clooney’s pant/gown combo. My favorite part was the rich floral skirt!

Love the colors of Gigi Hadid’s gown. It was bright but heavenly at the same time.

Loved the structure of Jasmine Sanders metallic H&M and Bvlgari gown.

Lastly, I really loved the lace and tasteful sheer pieces of Katherine McPhee’s pale blue gown. She accessorized it perfectly too.
