Taylor Swift Concert Prep

As you can tell from the title of my blog post, I’m getting ready for the Taylor Swift concert this weekend! A fan of her music for years, I’m finally going to a show of hers this weekend. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things over the years by people who have gone to her shows. I always hear that her concerts are nothing short of spectacular and super memorable so I’m really excited!

In preparation for the concert, my friend sent me a Spotify playlist of songs that are supposedly part of her set list. But, for this post I’m sharing some of my favorite songs of hers which she may or may not perform on Saturday. To compile this list, I looked at the songs on all her albums and while I pretty much like or love all her songs I had to really narrow it down to my top favorites.

Here’s my list in album order!

1. “Our Song” – I had to include this because it was T. Swift’s first single and I remember thinking the song was so fun even though I’m not really a country fan. Remember when she was a country singer?
   “Our song is the way he laughs,
   The first date man I didn’t kiss him when I should have,
   And when I got home, before I said amen,
   Asking God if He could play it again.”
2. “Love Story” – Another really fun song that you can’t help but sing along to.
   “Romeo save me, they’re trying to tell me how to feel
   This love is difficult, but it’s real
   Don’t be afraid, we’ll make it out of this mess
   It’s a love story, baby just say “Yes”
   
3.  “You Belong With Me” – Whether you’re a fan or not, I’m sure you’ve sang this song at the top of your lungs in the car or shower at some point!
   “And you’ve got a smile that could light up this whole town
   I haven’t seen it in a while since she brought you down
   You say you’re fine
   I know you better then that
   Hey what you doing with a girl like that”
   
4. “Enchanted” – This is the first song on my list that wasn’t a single, but there is something about this song that I love. It just feels magical!
   “This night is sparkling, don’t you let it go
   I’m wonder struck, blushing all the way home
   I’ll spend forever wondering if you knew
   This night is flawless, don’t you let it go
   I’m wonder struck, dancing around all alone

5. “Long Live” – This also was not a single, if I remember correctly, but I love it because it always puts me in a positive mood.

   All the kingdom lights shined just for me and you
   I was screaming, “long live all the magic we made”
   And bring on all the pretenders
   I’m not afraid
   Long live all the mountains we moved
   I had the time of my life

6. “We Are Never Getting Back Together” – Another super catchy song!
   “We are never ever, ever getting back together

7. “Bad Blood” – Love this song and love this music video!
   “‘Cause baby now we got bad blood
   You know it used to be mad love
   So take a look at what you’ve done

   Now we got problems
   And I don’t think we can solve them
   You made a really deep cut
   And baby now we got bad blood”

8. “Wildest Dreams” –  This song is just dreamy and emotional.
   “You see me in hindsight
   Tangled up with you all night
   Burnin’ it down (burnin’ it down)
   Some day when you leave me
   I bet these memories follow you around (follow you around)
   Say you’ll remember me
   Standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset babe
   Red lips and rosy cheeks
   Say you’ll see me again even if it’s just pretend”

9. “New Romantics” – This was a bonus song on her last album, 1989, and one of my favorite songs ever. A line from this song is in the image I shared above that I made.
   “Baby, we’re the new romantics
   Come on, come along with me
   Heart break is the national anthem
   We sing it proudly
   We are too busy dancing
   To get knocked off our feet
   Baby, we’re the new romantics
   The best people in life are free”
   
10. “Delicate” – One of my favorite songs from her new album, Reputation.
    “Sometimes I wonder when you sleep
    Are you ever dreaming of me?

11. “Getaway Car” – Another of my favorites from Reputation.
    “You were drivin’ the getaway car

    Should’ve known I’d be the first to leave

I can’t wait for the concert! I’ve got my fingers crossed for good weather and a smooth process. I just want to get to my seat with no issues and have the time of my life!
