The Emily Edit – The Wants Palette

Have you ever watched Emily Noel’s YouTube channel – Beauty Broadcast? I used to watch her beauty videos all the time, but in the past 1-2 years I haven’t had time to watch YouTube like I used to! So it’s been quite a while since I’ve watched any of her videos, but I do follow her on social media still and she’s still one of my favorite beauty blogger/YouTubers. Well, she used to blog, I don’t know if she still updates that since she is most known for her YouTube channel. But anyway, the point of this post is that I got her eyeshadow palette – The Emily Edit – The Wants.

I first learned that she had collaborated with Makeup Revolution on an eyeshadow palette (The Wants) and an eye and face palette (The Needs) last year. I always love supporting my favorite influencers and her eyeshadow palette, The Wants, looked really good with a nice mix of colors. But when I was placing an Ulta order it was sold out! It was actually out of stock for a while and then when I was placing a new order back in December I saw that it was finally in stock so I quickly added it to my cart.

I love the packaging. It’s a nice glossy, hard plastic that snaps shut. The shades are beautiful and easy to apply. I’m a fan of all the shades and I love that they’re all extremely wearable. I hate when palettes have a slew of shades that I would never wear because it seems like such a waste.

I took a few photos the other day when I used the palette. This was for a really easy, natural look to work.

I used “Cupcake” all over the lid, put a light layer of “Capricorn” in the outer corners, and highlight with “The Cream” lightly under the brow.

I’m really loving this palette! I don’t feel the need to get The Needs palette, but I’m really happy I got my hands on The Wants. It’s in stock right now on the Ulta website and for $20 which I think is a great price for 24 good sized shadows. If you’re interested, I would grab it before it sells out again!
