Yosemite
I’m headed home from vacation today. It went by so quickly and I’m not ready for summer to end! I still have some vacation posts to come though.
A few days ago I went to Yosemite National Park for the first time. I only saw a fraction of the massive national park so I’ll definitely have to go back one day. My family and I went on a tour that left from San Francisco for a day trip to the park, which is about 3.5 hours away. We left around 7am and got back to San Francisco around 9:30pm so it was a long and tiring day, but the sights were gorgeous especially the waterfalls. The views were spectacular and we spent a good amount of time at the lower chamber of Yosemite Falls climbing up (and down) some of the rocks to get a closer view of the falls and touch the water down at the pools at the bottom.
The first few photos are from the drive to Yosemite. For miles and miles there were the most beautiful rolling hills with wind turbines. It looked so cool! I wish I could have gotten photos without the window reflection. On the way home we passed them again and they looked really cool with the sun setting in the background but I couldn’t get a good view from my side of the bus.
Also, a few of the photos are out of order because some photos were taken with my camera and some with my phone and frankly, I’m too tired to put them in the correct order. I figure, you probably don’t care anyway! Enjoy!
The national park was awesome to see in person and like I said, I only saw a small portion of the park so I definitely need to go back one day!
Some other little info – we went with Gray Line Tours and it was a great tour for a day trip. Our driver/tour guide, Vlad, was really informative and entertaining. The other thing is what I saw in Yosemite. The main things I saw were El Capitan, Brideveil Falls, Yosemite Falls, Cascade Falls. I think there were one or two other things but I don’t remember what they were called.
Have you ever been to Yosemite?
