Fall Haircut: Lob

If you keep up with me on Instagram storiesΒ then you’ve already seen my haircut! So it’s been a few years since I’ve chopped my hair. I get a trim (1-2 inches) every 2 months or so, but it’s been a while since I’ve cut a significant amount off. I have been planning to chop it off for a while now. When I last went to get my hair trimmed, in August, my hair stylist told me that I might have enough to donate the next time I came. I was really in to the idea of donating my hair, but that proved to be more difficult that I thought it would be. I couldn’t find a lot of options and there are a lot of restrictions. Many places won’t take colored hair and I have highlights. Some places don’t want layers. Some want 12 inches. Someone suggested Pantene’s program to me and I checked it out, but found out it had been discontinued because they found more people were starting to use fake hair instead of real for wigs.

So anyway, I didn’t end up donating my hair, but I did get a cute lob. If you don’t know what that is – it’s a long bob where the hair is just above the shoulder or at the shoulder.

Here are some photos I took so you can remember just how long my hair was the morning of my haircut before work and after my haircut that evening!

I’m loving it! I’ve always loved shorter hair, but then I love long hair too because it’s easy to throw up. The con to long hair is that it gets so tangly and it’s a pain when you’re always leaning on it behind your back etc.

I’m really looking forward to styling the shorter hair – maybe some beach waves or that cool bend in the hair look. I’ll be sure to share once I’ve perfected some styles!
