February 2020 Favorites

I saw a meme somewhere yesterday that said something like January was 48 years long and February was 2 seconds and I think it’s so true! January felt like it dragged on and on and I always think the months go by in the blink of an eye so January was strange for sure. I can’t believe February is about to be over and it normally would be except for the fact that it’s a leap year!

So let’s get in to my February favorites!

First up, my Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw. I have been talking about this for a month. It’s my first Barefoot Dreams piece and I’m in love. I have been wanting to try out the brand for a long time because everyone raves about how soft they are. I had mentioned it to my bff back in the fall and asked if she ever tried their blankets or cardigans or felt them. She remembered that I had mentioned the brand and got me a blanket for Christmas! Here’s a photo of it before I unwrapped it from the bow so it still looks nice and pretty!

Next up, Taylor Swift’s Netflix documentary Miss Americana. I love Taylor Swift so watching her documentary was a no-brainer. I loved it all and I got teary-eyed watching her on stage during that infamous moment when Kanye interrupted her. You could just feel how hurt she was in that moment. I had to watch with a bowl of popcorn and I wore a tee that I’ve had for a few years and was actually going to get rid of but when I pulled it out of my drawer and almost stuck it in my donation bag I thought I had to wear it to watch the documentary! It says “Let Sparks Fly” and it made me think of her song “Sparks Fly”!

Another thing I watched and loved this month was The Mandalorian. I know it came out last year, but I didn’t have time to watch it and then started it when I was sick with the flu. I loved it! Baby Yoda!

One last thing I watched and loved this month was To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. The highly anticipated sequel to To All the Boys I Loved Before. It was good and I’ve actually seen it twice. Once when it first got released on Netflix and again the following week when I was waiting for my laundry to finish. It’s good, it’s sad, it’s happy. I may have teared up at parts. It’s kind of got that middle movie thing going on where it’s not as fun and happy as the first movie and doesn’t tie things up like a third movie presumably will. It’s that in-between movie where there’s mostly just problems.

Now for a food favorite! I bought these Town House Sea Salt & Olive Oil Flatbread Crisps at the supermarket and some Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and they taste so good! They’re delicious on their own, but together they make the most delicious snack!

I have one last favorite to share. The mascara I’ve been using lately is Lancome’s Monsieur Big Mascara. It is so good! It’s up there with my favorite Dior Iconic Overcurl, which is my favorite. The Monsieur Big is up there with the Dior one! It volumizes, lengthens, and helps my curl.
